According to Matt miller.

"—Early this draft season, during a phone call with Leonard Fournette, he asked me if I thought he could fall to the Carolina Panthers. I told him it was possible, but probably not happening. As reported above, though, the Panthers could be on their way up the board. If a trade up happens, could Fournette be the target? Ian Rapoport of NFL Network tweeted that head coach Ron Rivera will be at Fournette's pro day and that no spot is "too high" to draft a running back. Fournette and Cam Newton in the same backfield would be terrifying."

Was reading stuff regarding the draft which is all speculation anyway and happened to stumble upon this. Take it with a grain of salt, but its interesting if true. He wants to be here it seems.

Good find!

I think that Cam is a draw.

LSU  Pro day is gonna be really interesting. When a team already really likes a player and then that player really wants to play for that team, there could be fireworks. And thats not even including the private visit that will also probably happen later.

Without context, it's hard to know what he meant.

He could have said it with tears rolling down his face, thinking about the millions he would be losing sliding down the draft board.

He could have said it with his eyes gleaming, thinking about the Cam fatheads hanging on his wall at home.

Or...

Or...

Hear me out...

Matt Miller may be full of poo.

    • Apparently CSW lost his starting job to Thornton last year. If he can stay healthy I bet Thornton keeps that NB position.
    • I member him staying after practices with only to see he was wearing heavy weight vest, one of his trademarks. He also put in 10 years, right? People forget he was the ST stud that called the snap and made sure everyone lined up right. He was one of the "glue" guys that bought his "lunch pail" to work.... He was a willing solider, all teams need a couple of them. He blocked for sooo many panthers RBs- Davis, lane, Williams, foster, goings and when there was huge injuries he took over the starter duties and had a couple 100 yard games. If you followed hoover, he took the perfect RB path cause he was just a slow heavy one himself....
    • Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with.  How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens.    I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field.     Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
