Not to argue your opinion but did you see the Senior Bowl?  Zay Jones was all over the place.  Caught everything thrown his way and really impressed me.

As a former ECU student, back in the days of Terry Long, I try to stay away from ECU players just because of my loyalty to the Pirate football team.   But this young man is a baller.   I would love to see him with Cam.

I'm just weary. I remember I used to want Justin Hardy really bad and he went to gbe Falcons. He's not doing much there. I just see Zay as a faster Justin Hardy. I could be wrong. If he's picked though I'll always hope for the best.

Was the best player on the field that game. Can play outside or in the slot, he's not the fastest guy, but his routes are crisp and the guy has maybe the best hands in the draft.

This.  If the Bears take a QB, it could cause a ripple effect.  The 49ers and Jets could easily then pull the trigger on a QB themselves.

Don't the Bears have Sanchez? Why in the world would they take a QB in the first when they have a guy who went to 2 or 3 AFC Championships in a row?

wait what?

Yep!  I watched his games on draftbreakdown.com, and I think they way underutilized him at ECU.  They wanted him underneath as a safety valve, but I think he could have been a dangerous downfield threat if they used him there more.  But this is why I think he is underrated by many people.  I can't tell you how many balls I saw him catch that were thrown perfectly at his shoes.  His QB was just atrocious.

Honestly, I think he has the speed, route running, and speed to be an eventual #1.  And he demonstrated time and time again that he's not afraid to go over the middle.  IMO, he's going to be a stud.

Just to be clear, I agree with your post.  Just think "underutilized" is probably the wrong word to use.  Dude has the most receptions in FBS history currently with 399.  Had like 22 or 23 receptions against South Carolina this past year or something absurd like that.  Perhaps utilize him in additional ways, but idk about underutilized.

Misused may be a better word.  I think he could have been a monster downfield if they used him there more.  I just don't think they maximized his talents.  IMO, he could have been a big play/TD machine.  He was great at the underneath stuff, but I think he has much more value than that.
