I'm pretty sure you are joking or maybe I am really hoping you are.

That said, I really liked this from the Urban Dictionary:

TOP DEFINITION

To understand what a poor person has to say.
I was talking to this homeless guy with no teeth yesterday...

Oh really? Did you understand him?

Oh yeah, he makes cents.

maybe, maybe not. its all madness this week!

Dave-Te' is a legit source of info but the info he puts out there isn't always accurate.

Various teams use various ways of getting misinformation out there.

I for one don't believe this for a second. LF is not worth the 2nd overall pick. He is not worth trading the first, second and third round picks for.

All the issues you just brought up Gettleman addressed in his pc

I'm as big of a Gettleman fan as any, but you'd be hard pressed to find a GM who is talking negatively about a prospect pre-draft especially one they highly covet. Just doesn't happen.

So wait people are losing their minds over giving up less less value than the #3 pick should fetch for #2 overall????? It be a hell of a swindle to give 8, 40, and 98 for #2.

Now as for what we do with #2, that's up for debate. I wonder if this us because San Fran really wants a QB, but knows that they can move down because:

A) Trubisky is going #1, and they can get another at 8 and get additional picks via trade down.

B) Think they can move to 8 and still get Trubisky and get addition assets.

I hope we trade and B was the reason SF moved down. It be akin to stealing Pep @ 2 with Carr going #1 to Houston. Its a gamble if you are trading up for this to play out Thursday and Garrett is the only tier 1 grade for 2017. I think tier 2 is larger and likely available at 8.

If A happens, I'd be a sad we couldn't snag MG, but hope we got a guy like Hooker or Yes Fournette if you buy that he has a grade better than Zeke last year. If you think there are 2 or 3 true tier 1 players, then you get the one even if its not your 1st choice goes 1-1.

Personally I think its a risk this year, and this draft class. I don't see a clear guy after MG I'm willing to give up that much for quantity wise to fetch a small upgrade in quality #8. If it had a few more top DE, CB, a top WR or LT, sure go ahead and swap quantity for quality with San Fran, even in thus deep a draft. But the guys after MG are not top quality premium position players. That's the rub in this class and trading to #2. Its also why folks want to move on down this year.

Personally, I likely do it if the reported cost is accurate. MG as the goal, and LF/Hooker as consolation prize. I think those 3 can really turn this team into long term threat to not just make the playoffs, but make the fame changing plays in the playoffs to win the SB.

Issue is, this is a respected scout source. The info is from the 49ers executive office, and the scout spreading the info has done this with accuracy in the past.

I apologize if you've listed anything in the next 17 pages that I didn't read, but can you provide a couple of examples? (i.e. accuracy in the past)

So from just an offensive prospective,

we are willing to give up potential combinations such as:

McCaffrey, Engram, and Henderson

Howard, Kamara, Westbrook

or we could even trade down a little with our 1st round and use that capital to trade up some with our 2nd and end up with something like

Ross, Njoku, and Hunt

I'm a fan of Fournette but there are definitely some other players in the first 3 rounds that could really help us also.

I think this rumor is ridiculous. The picks is not even anywhere close to what Eagles had to give up for number 2 last year and they was in the same spot. This report is bogus. No way San Francisco is not asking for more. These threads are getting pretty hilarious as we go along, hurry up Thursday.

Difference is this Draft doesn't have the QB prospects that last years draft had. Thus the value of the pick is lower plus everyone knows SF wants out of the 2nd pick badly. Which also lowers the value of said pick. Not going to get anything extra like what happened last year in this years draft most likely.

I have heard people want to move up to that spot to draft a QB. So I still say that's bullcrap. We will be picking from #8 and the only way we move up any will be back into the first with those 2nd Rd picks.
