This team lacks leadership (duh, right?)

Where is all the indignation? Where is that person that gets in the faces of their teammates and tells them that they aren't doing their job? We really miss Jenks. I'm sorry guys, but our players are just too damned reserved. Everyone has become a Fox clone of sorts, spewing out that same ol' dry it-is-what-it-is philosophy. Who is the Ray Lewis of the bunch? THe team is too damned nice. We need someone to fire this team up from the coaches on down, and require some personal responsibility. The entire team is starting to get that Chris Carr, deer in the headlights, I'm lost mentality (even the veterans). Where is the outrage? Where is the fire? This monotone, robotic, company line ish is old. Someone needs to give every person in the the organizaiton a kick in the arse. There should be no smiles for the next 10 days because there is really nothing to smile about. Even Smitty seems to have been enveloped by the funk. Someone needs to take a cowbell and wake their arses up with some truth, and see if that doesn't get the season started in earnest.

I used to think it was sort of humorous when I heard players spouting Foxisms, but now it's just disconcerting. I sincerely believe Fox's lack of passion has rubbed off on several players, and that a new face could do wonders for this franchise (and I've long been an advocate of Fox).

We have leadership and from all the fist pounding on the ground after giving up yards all night there was lots of frustration and fire. I kept hearing myself say that instead of fist pounding after giving up another pass or run, how about executing on the play and being where you are supposed to be. There were enough missed assignments for a season in the Dallas game alone.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
