TE2 was one of our big weaknesses though and it was very easily fixable this draft.

And sometimes the cards don't fall in the order you'd like to fix it.

Which TE's would you have rather had in Rounds 1-4 over the players we picked?  Because I ain't buying that a 5th round TE would have fixed a darned thing.

Seriously, what TE would you guys have taken there? That run on TEs with 3 of the first 7 picks in the 5th being TEs pretty much took TE out of play for us there.

We should have moved up instead of taking a CB, but hoepfully we get Barnridge!

Well we also need to remember late last season we picked up our project TE in Chris Manhertz. He is the speedy athletic TE. Or maybe the staff feels good about Eric Wallace or Simonson. How much better our 5th round TEs than them?

Personally I would have loved Butt or Leggett but they were off the board so how can we complain? Sure, we could have traded up but maybe we are looking for somebody in the 6th and 7th?

Get Bucky Hodges or Ricky Seals-Jones in the 5th or 6th or undrafted and we've upgraded Dickson. It's really not hard to upgrade over one of the worst players (not just TEs, he grades as one of the very worst players) in the NFL.

And maybe barnidge getting cut changed their draft approach today. We can hope, right?

Very possible.

Barnidge has just finished 2 seasons where he caught 79 and 55 balls respectively.

He's also an unrestricted FA.

Signing Barnidge would be a helluva pickup.  Better than any late round rookie.
