Panthers Minicamp - Enjoy it while you can

There are three Carolina Panthers minicamp sessions next week. All three are open to the media.

Meaning, this is the last real bit of Panthers coverage until 6 weeks of top 10 lists and season projections.

Enjoy it while you can folks. Come mid July you will be gnawing your hands off at the wrist from the lack of worthwhile things to click.

Maybe you can just patiently enjoy your summer and watch the pre season when the Summer is winding down then bam the NFL Season is here. If you think about it, we're already 4 months removed from Super Bowl 51.

We're still watching players practice this month, they are doing photo shoots, McCaffrey comes back next week, Training Camp is in July. Our first preseason game is the second week of August Wednesday the 8th against the Texans, we are exactly 2 months away from that day (June 8th at time of writing this)  , there have already been over 5 months that have passed this year. If you think about it from a glass half full perspective, we are actually rapidly approaching football.

Yeah, it's Summer and time flies.  It's nothing to complain about.

Raise a kid who plays HS football, and is looking to play in college. You will have NO lack of football in your life. It's only June 9th and we've already been to college camps at ECU and Clemson. Got, University of Florida, Old Dominion, Charleston Southern, Wingate, Furman, NC State, and tons of 7v7 tournaments. I'll miss Panthers coverage, but certainly won't miss football!

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
