So how's our boy Kony Ealy doin'?

We don't get Moton and the Patriots would have gotten their target Dan Feeney if not for the trade.  These factors could ironically be the difference in SB52, so Ealy would win us a Super Bowl after all.  Quite possible.

We're a defensive team. That's where are resources are directed, and have been directed. We struggled so badly offensively that we were relegated to relying on Kony f*cking Ealy to get us to the finish line in the biggest game in franchise history because our OL couldn't protect our MVP.

You don't watch that unfold, and pat yourself on the back about how you did enough.

I mean, yeah after the 2016 season I can see this logic being applied, but leading up to the 2015 Super Bowl the Panthers were the best offense in football with the same offensive line.

Von Miller and Wade Phillips just owned Shula and the Panthers offense that day.

Let's remember one thing about that 2015 offense.

Our #1 WR was Ted Ginn.

Cam Newton managed to helm the top offense in the league with Ted stone hands Ginn and coast to the Super Bowl.

I get what you're saying man. But you have to look closer, the mere threat of Cam Newton elevates players around him. He even made Remmers briefly look like a starter.

We had a squad sure, but the limits of our offense were spectacularly exposed at the absolute worst time. Those limits we knew about in 2015, and we absolutely knew about them in 2016 which makes the 2016 offseason a real tough pill to swallow when looking at our front office.

kony had like 3 sacks, a FF, and an interception in that game, and he did all of that despite only playing 23 snaps, and if the panthers could've put a clamp on miller and ended up pulling a win out, he probably would have been the SBMVP, so i dunno what thered is fuging on about.

I mean that's his career at this point. One game.

One game where our offense that we taped together just happened to be exposed in the biggest game in franchise history to the point that Kony Ealy is just about the one bright spot from SB50 that we have to look at.

Yeah, I don't know what we're on about here. We just lost our second Super Bowl, what's the big deal amirite? Man you've gone right off a cliff with this FO jock sniffing.

thered let me speak for everyone on this board that doesn't suffer from a mental illness and say that you don't know what the hell you're talking about when it comes to football, you talk out of both sides of your ass, and you can't fathom that somebody could ever dare to contradict the repetitive cancer you post.

Alot of people were hating on Gettleman when he traded our 3rd rounder and Ealy for their 2nd. Watch Moton turn into a star opposite Kalil and the move we be more than worth it.

Besides the Ealy homers no one was upset to see him traded.

What had a lot of us upset was the fact we wasted a 2nd rounder on him in the 1st place. DG said he had a 1st round grade on him which is even worse. Soooooo many good WR's were on the board still when we took Ealy

    • Mel Kiper said he would retire if Jimmy Clausen wasn't a successful NFL starter too. Just because the experts make a claim doesnt mean it's true either.  Bryce may be a serviceable QB for someone. Serviceable QBs don't bring you a perennial winner or lead you to the playoffs over and over. Serviceable QBs also dont get 50m plus per year deals which is what a Bryce extension would look like.  The stats show he hasn't been even a serviceable QB in the 3 years he's been here. The eye test shows he hasn't put together 2 franchise QB salary games back to back in 3 years.  Complain all you want about people being negative, but people pointing out that Bryce is held to a different standard than anyone else on the team isn't complaining. It's stating the obvious.
    • We have big bodied WRs and 3 TEs who all have potential and each bring something different to the table. I never saw the need to go out there and try and find a new starting TE.  While it's nice to have a guy like McBride, Bowers, etc, I think a team's better use of the cap is by having TEs on rookie contracts or cheap vets, not having to pay elite TE money.
    • He had the award until like the last 8 games. He sucked ass and flagg had 3 40 point games
