Safety looks as unsafe as ever

I think S is a position where you likely can snag a decent vet at cuts.  I'm sure there will be teams that cut an expensive vet to go young.

I'm most worried about WR.  We need speed. Fast WRs that can seperate and run decent routes arent something you can find often easily at cut time.

And we thought we could do better than Tre Boston.

I think starters wise, we are way better off with our current safeties. However, the only question remains whether or not we should have kept him as a backup. From all reports, Boston was a great locker-room presence which was seen through his activity on social media. It almost like the team did him a solid by cutting him so he could get a chance to go start elsewhere. I believe that that the FO let him go because they didn't want to force him from a starter to a backup role. Good business move? Probably not. Something the Panthers organization would do? Absolutely.

I hope we didn't release him simply because we didn't want to force him into a backup role. It happens on every team in the NFL. You have to have some depth on your roster because not everyone can start. If you're under contract, you're under contract. If you think you should be the starter, then beat out your competition.
