WR1 Kelvin Benjamin

WR2/3 Devin Funchess

WR2/3 Russell Shepard

WR3/4 with WR2 Upside: Curtis Samuel

WR5 Damiere Byrd

PS: WR Austin Duke, WR Keyarris Garrett

My only change would be Clay to PS.

I don't know if Byrd ultimately gets it but he is ever so slightly in front of Bersin right now IMO. Will see how they make out over the next two preseason games

Good with that, though I think it's at least possible Clay makes the regular roster over Byrd (not willing to say it's likely)

Will depend on what they show in upcoming games.

Second this. I don't think we keep more than 5 WR's since Webb is the defacto 6th WR.

Plus, it gives us the ability to keep 5 RB's (Stew, CMC, CAP, Fozzy, & Darrel Young as FB).  Hopefully we can sneak Armah on the practice squad.  I like his potential a lot.

KB

Funch

Shepard

Samuel

Byrd

seem the very obvious top 5 at this point.

Bersin doesn't have PS eligibility as far as I know, so he COULD be #6, IF we keep 6, or perhaps he gets cut and we keep him on speed dial in case of injuries (I doubt he gets picked up by another team... his value is primarily in his knowledge of our offense and his rapport with Cam.  Don't think he'd be such a desireable pick up for other teams)  With Samuel seemingly on the mend, I'm beginning to think we only keep 5 WRs, however.

Clay is also intriguing for speed / returns.   I think he has a strong case for the PS.

Austin Duke is also possibly a PS candidate.  His being a local feel-good story from the Charlotte 49ers may help his case.

Duke and Garret on the PS.

I think Duke & Clay have more upside that Garrett.  I was excited when we got him last year, but I haven't seen enough to warrant even PS unless they want to keep a big receiver if KB or Funchess goes down.

    • in starts, he has played better, been more efficient and outproduced Bryce by virtually every statistical metric that exists in 2025.  And has the 2 head to heads over Carolina.  I mean, your jaw should hit the floor.  But not for the reason you are implying.  That freaking stings.  Denying these realities isn't going to help the Panthers build a better team going forward.
    • He is basically having a polar opposite rookie season than Bryce. 4-3 as a starter on a very bad team.  68% for 237 passing yards and 19 rush per game. 9 TDs,  6 TOs in his starts.  and folks acknowledge the surprisingly play because no one thought poo of the random 2nd rounder and he is player better as a rookie thus far than so many prized picks did as a rookies (not just Bryce but a boatload of dudes).   It's only a sour issue to give someone props because he is a Saint and of course the Bryce thing.  It's like giving the TE in Clev props for having near identical production as the chosen one Tyler Warren.  Fannin is having a great rookie season in a very bad spot.
    • This is a very weird take. The reason Shough doesn't deserve it is because he's only started 7 games. He's doing crazy well for a rookie and out playing plenty of vets with a worse roster. He's waaay above league average in a number of categories during his starts and he passes the eye test in game by making plays. Meanwhile Bryce Young had one of the worst rookie seasons of all time. Still TMac deserves it more. It's only been 7 games for Shough so he doesn't deserve any awards. Even if he gets to 9 he doesn't.
