This is by far the easiest payday in the history of life. It's like LeBron 1 v 1 vs Cam Newton in basketball with LeBron getting a $250M payday. What a completely stupid event and a total mockery. Shows how stupid the average person who would pay more than a dime to see this ridiculous showing. Mayweather is a punk and a boring fighter who would get destroyed by any fighters from yesteryear, but I will say he's a damn good businessman and I can respect that about him. Making $250M to do literally nothing but showcase his expertise against an amateur in the same field for 36 minutes or less.

Sorry for the rant, but it's all the truth and the reality of this dumb fight.

It's a boxing match. Mayweather is undefeated. Connor has 3 losses in his own sport (should have been 4 with the second Diaz fight). This fight will be a worse showing than Mayweather-Pacquiao. Mayweather will clown him for 12 rounds and lose via unanimous decision and it will cost you $100 and 40 minutes of your life.

Bottom line: Connor has absolutely zero chance of winning this fight.

I give Conor a 20% chance to win in the first round. It goes down 5% each round after. Basically, if it goes 5 Conor has lost.

i prefer MMA to boxing but like boxing. I WANT Conor to win but don't think he will. I'll be happy if Conor avoids looking like a fool. I also have no qualms about ordering this fight. I buy every UFC ppv. I expect to be entertained all night and am fine with spending my money that way.

Everybody is doubting McGregor and stating he'll get knocked out easily. I don't know... the mere fact that 95% of the planet is picking Floyd and uttering he doesn't stand a chance. I sense an epic upset coming.

Also remember, Mayweather is 50, hasn't fought since 2015, and 8 ounce gloves play a factor.

I don't disagree. I'm still going for the pure boxer though.

In boxing, it should be Mayweather pretty easily, but if it was in MMA, then McGregor would end it quickly (which is why it was stupid for McGregor to sign on for a boxing match with Mayweather - other than for the paycheck, that is).  Since it's boxing, Mayweather wins it late or by easy decision.

With that said, McGregor does have a chance if he can connect on Mayweather early.  He definitely has the power to put him down.  But Mayweather is too good of a defensive fighter, so I doubt it happens.  I will also say that McGregor will probably come at Mayweather with some unconventional angles that could possibly confuse Mayweather early, so there is a slight chance.  I guess I'm saying that McGregor's only chance is to find a way to end it early with his power, otherwise, it will easily go Mayweather's way.

He's not 50.

Those doubting MacGregor may be shocked. Connor may not win but he is going to make it interesting.

While MMA is entirely different than boxing, Connor carries much more weight in his punches than Floyd.

Mayweather is going to dance around and rack up points like he always does and Connor is going to go after him unlike most of Mayweather's previous opponents. This is going to leave McGregor exposed to a KO, or he is going to land a huge blow and knock Mayweather out.

I'd be heavily surprised if this goes the distance, Connor doesn't seem to be the type of guy to sit back and play for points, he knows he'll lose that way.

Anyone thinking Mcgregor has a chance needs to have their head examined.  This is his first professional boxing match. Men with multiple professional fights, years of boxing training couldn't beat Floyd. Mcgregor is slow and won't touch him. People saying he punches harder than are wrong too. Mcgregor punches the same as all MMA fighters...Floyd punches like a boxer and I guarantee it's harder than his. Mcgregor is going to get his ass kicked tonight.

He won't get KO'd probably. Mayweather has no reason to go for a KO and isn't a power puncher anyways. Mayweather can just do a 36 minute dance and come out with the win and $250M.

It's literally comparable to LeBron vs. Cam 1 v 1 in basketball. Cam is elite in football and LeBron is elite in basketball. If they go against each other in either sport it's going to be an absurdly stupid mismatch. Just like Mayweather is elite in boxing and McGregor is elite in MMA (supposedly, I don't watch it or follow it so I don't really know). They are two completely different sports and have no correlation. I guarantee you there are guys at my boxing gym that are better boxers than McGregor and would fair better than him against Mayweather, and they'd still get killed too.

    • 100%. And these same people will claim you have an agenda. You can't have it every way. We had the lowest rated defense in the league last year. Statistically the worst ever. By PFF grades (for whatever that's worth- but they are readily accepted, used, and conveyed by most "reputable" sources), the defense was the worst ever. Not only that, PFF rated our receiving corp the worst in football last season. The absolute worst... out of 32 teams. Which is why regardless of the lip service Canales and Morgan paid to the current guys, they knew it would be criminal not to give Bryce more help. People fixating on team stats and not taking these things into context are stupid, plain and simple, and I'm for one thankful they're not running this team (or probably anything for that matter bc they obviously can't discern reality. Again, going back to the eyeball test these Narrative Nancies seem to hate so much, did they not see the windows Bryce was putting balls into? Have the generally not watched much NFL? Please, please show me the film where all these NFL QBs are making throws like this to this point Bryce was "below average" down the stretch compared to them. Bryce made more wow throws in that 3 game stretch of the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles than every other QB combined in all the years since since Cam got hurt I genuinely am baffled by people that can watch throws like that and act like it's nothing. I guarantee you Steve Spagnola, Todd Bowles, and and Vic Fangio didn't think it was nothing after watching the little guy torch them with players those teams would be embarrassed to trot out at the skill position players. The national media spent all year making excuses for Mahomes not having elite weapons when he had multiple 1st & 2nd round talents at the skill positions along with future HoFers in Kelce and Hopkins. Bryce wasn't throwing for 300 yards every week with David Moore and Adam Theilen in spite of jaw dropping throws and you want to say the guy played below average. For those people, again, we ain't watching the same sport. And the name calling doesn't change that... The vitriol and projection... it's off the effing charts with these people.
    • "Well you see if you remove this terrible game that terrible game this other terrible game and then focus on these games you'll see he's actually one of the better QB's in the league and he's actually as good as Jayden Daniels". My god this place is delusional. I love it.
