What were you worried about based on Pre-season, and how did it turn out yesterday?

People are saying the 49ers bad based on last year, but the Rams couldn't score 46 points against air last year. That's exactly what they scored on the Colts though. The 49ers may be as bad as the Panthers made them look or they may not. Nobody really knows and last years record means next to nothing. Hell, the Panthers were 6-10 last year and couldn't close out a game from the 1 like they did yesterday against anybody.

There really is some real stupidity in this thread. Can't say I'm surprised based on who the posters are though.

Our run game was fine.  Not great but not even close to bad.

My major concern is secondary depth and nothing has changed.  Thankfully Bradberry/Worley were only out a play or two and it wasn't exposed.

Mostly by Gooby and others throwing shade on our performance. Look at what Atlanta did against Chicago which is supposed to be bad too.  But it was really close so apparently Chicago is much improved.

Funny that the talk on Saturday was this would be a tough game and Shanahan offense would give us trouble. Now we dominate them and it is they were bad. They were bad because we made them look bad.

One must move the goal post when your goal is just to whine for the sake of whining. The issues here won't go away as they aren't about the team performance.

Also, the Browns could have easily beaten the Steelers yesterday if they weren't playing with a rookie QB. They only lost by 3 points to a team that has dominated them over the years.

Huh? Not a chance. Kizer was part of the reason the game was as close as it was. Although far from perfect, he looked better than any QB they have trotted in years.

If he was more experienced it would have helped them more.

I will hazard a guess and say that Cam's inability to complete a pass early in the game had something to do with that.

You are probably, or at least partially correct.  But I also think that SF's defensive game plan coming into the game was to stop the run, before Cam ever threw a single pass, just as it was ours to establish the run.  And it was probably the right call for them.  SF's D performed fairly well up until the 4th qtr.

Actually, my original response was in reference to you saying that our run game sucks.

In case you need a reference point:

I simply stated that anyone (aka you) who doesn't understand how difficult it is to drive down the field from our own 1 yard line when the opposition is selling out against the run doesn't know football. We had an 8 minute drive to close out the game in victory formation. Literally there is nothing you can do better in that situation.

You are the one who went into some weird spaz attack about internet bets and San Francisco sucking solely because they sucked last year.

As usual, you've become the punchline in this thread.

Yep it won't change what happen, our running game was embarrassing. You know how much teams come in with that same game plan of "stopping the run, forcing to pass" game after game, season after season? That doesn't excuse that piss poor performance by the running game. Even niners fans were shocked by how bad our offense was, they don't weather to celebrate their D or just chalk it up as bad panthers offense.

Lol, you're funny.

Bet you weren't intending to be.

I think excepting a bet is pretty much impossible

So one drive makes for the whole game and 3.2 ypc? hmm it seems like your choosing picking stuff to fill your false agenda

Also my statement is nothing but the truth, and your scared to make a claim about the niners D doing forward
