he could be ok. probably good depth and STs guy.

much more impressed with the video and commentary itself. really good job. checked out the guys YT page and only saw highlight reels for players, not much in the way of breaking things down and that's a shame. he should do it more.

The guy's slower than a snail. Best used as a press corner with some help on top. Definitely a depth guy who'll likely replace Teddy William's role.

Josh Norman and James Bradberry ran slow 40's too. I'm not saying this kid is a s good, but it's really not about pure speed in this defense.

Edit...I just looked it up. Brad berry ran a 4.5, Josh Norman ran a 4.66, and Ladarius Gunter ran a 4.69 at the combine. So he's a whopping .03 seconds slower than Norman. That's like the blink of an eye.

Bottom line is teams just don't waive good young corners.

Maybe the Panthers can develop him into a good backup. Would not shock me if Wilks does.

But thats where the expectations should be. No where else.

Kinda/Sorta; We've been known to make another teams trash into workable starters before with a lot of misses in between. This may be that sort of situation but that's just looking on the bright side. He could, like you said, just be depth for the long haul.

Just as slow as Norman in the combine drills, has size, can play at the LOS and support the run -- we only have two DBs that can do that at the moment. I like the depth -- Seymour, Munnerlyn, & Gunter behind Bradberry & Worley -- Luke didn't impress me in the pre-season and he's sub 6' and even slower, Corn is hurt.

Gunter appears to have the position flexibility to play inside / out, and spell as FS depth which we don't really have behind Coleman & Cox worst case scenario.

I like it. Corn missed too much of the off-season. This is basically gonna be a redshirt year for him. Cole Luke sucks. Trading for Seymour and picking up Gunter are good moves.

Exactly, if Corn hadn't been placed on IR, Cole would have been PS. I hope we don't need to depend on him in a game. Apparently, Gunter can play outside, nickle, and safety. Even though the film didn't show him playing safety, I have to admit that colin jones being our back up scares the bejezus out of me. A young, versatile player for cheap...that sounds like a good move to me.

Bonus: Bradberry doesn't have to play ST anymore, which also scares the bejezus out of me.

My understanding is they waived this guy to make room for Geronimo Allison on the 53 after his suspension. GB has alot of young talent at the position.

He's not All-Pro but he's not garbage either. He got burnt by Jones and Dez but he did hold Odell to 28 yards on 4-6 catches(IIRC).

The dude had a pro comparison to Norman coming out. That said, with his height/weight and physicality, I'm confident Wilks can mold him into something. By no means am I saying he's the second coming of JNo, but you can't count the kid out. He's not the fastest so our scheme should suit him well.

2016: Bradberry, Worley, Johnson, Sanchez, Teddy Williams

2017: Bradberry, Worley, Munnerlyn, Seymour, Gunter.

I see an upgrade ...and potential to eventually be a strength in a year or so.

Throw Elder into the mix(eventually), and we have suddenly turned our biggest weakness into a strength. I'm excited.

Edit: from the missed interceptions shown on the film, I hope he gets JNo's dedication to the JUGS machine. A lot of those breakups should have been interceptions.

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
