NFL defenses than shut our scheme down.  Repeat of history. 

Cam being rusty obviously hurts to but when he gets healthy opposing Ds simply have an edge now on us because we lack what we need to run our O

We have exactly what we need.  Defenses are playing the deep pass and giving up the underneath routes.  Cam is trying to force it deep and ignoring the underneath receivers, which by the way are almost always open.

How do you know what they are until someone is able to pass downfield?

Newton can't physically do it, and Anderson doesn't look like he could complete a pass to Jerry Rice right now.

Throw in that the "downfield threat" of Ted Ginn all too often turned out to be that he could run past you and then drop it.
