New England is doing what we are only beginning to try.  Small explosive scat backs and WRs that are too fast to cover and big TEs that dominate the middle of the field.  Brady just distributes the ball.  They have been doing this for years now.

What they have not done well is on defense.  Huge DTs with pass rushers works but they dont have those like they have in the past.

The key to beating a Pats offense is to constantly harass Brady and man up their receivers and make them beat you one on one. Eric Berry did one hell of a job manning up Gronk all game. Denver also did this in 2015. I don't think we have the personnel to do it though. Zone defense isn't going to cut it, Brady will eat that sh*t up.

Yep, sounds just like Fox. Man to man, play better than the man across from you. Simplified/easy coaching. That's the plan, that's the scheme. This is what Fox preached and no we are back at it.

No adjustments, no mismatches just perfection and execution. Sure when it works it looks glorious but adjustments and mismatching are FAR more effective in so many other ways see the Patriots for last decade.

JR likes this kind of football as it resembles the 1970 steelers, his idol. Progressive coaching will come with a new owner.

A good coach would want both.  Be able to go man to man and win but be able to out wit them when you struggle.  Ron can't seem to get the team to do either.

He doesn’t innovate and that’s why he will never be a great coach.
