FPI: NFC SOUTH RACE WILL BE TIGHT ONE

Very surprised ESPN PFI have us only at 10 - 6, and only 38% chance to win the Division, and 4% to win the Super Bowl.  I think their "calculation" doesn't put enough emphasis on recent performance, especially with Cam Newton.  Thoughts?

Pretty much all computer rankings will have us middle of the pack just because we had 3 ugly games and 2 very good games. I don't think any model would heavily weight the 2 most recent games out of 5.

All this thing is, is something to generate talk like the power rankings. if you want to know where the Panthers currently rank look at the Standings.

I mean the Falcons did go to the Super Bowl last year, and we went the year before, so I think it's a two team race at least moving forward.

FPI is kind of terrible.  They have the Pats as the best team right now besides the Chiefs.  That's borderline ridiculous.
