We are going to win this football game.

I was hesitant at first, as the Eagles match up extremely well to our strengths, but I still thought there was the chance of a win. With Lane Johnson out, and Fletcher Cox not healthy, this swings the advantage to us, especially on a short week in our house. Make no mistake, Carson Wentz is elite, but if we blitz his right side the entire game, run the ball down their throats, and use the size outside to our advantage, we will win.

Carolina - 31

Philadelphia - 24

Cam Newton - 250 yards, 2 tds, 65 rush yards
Jonathan Stewart/CMac - 85 rush yards, 70 yards receiving, 2 tds

Maybe you didn’t watch last week but we would’ve struggled to run against a CFL team.

Ironically, the Lions literally followed their game-plan: focus on the run, not the pass.

That killed them. We couldn't run (as expected), but they couldn't defend the pass. Cam easily picked off their zone for the win.

And if it rains tonight and the Eagles primary focus becomes stop the run at all costs?

Looks like less than 20% of it happening according to weather.com

Nice

Back in the day with Delhomme and double trouble... yep give me rain every Sunday but not with Cam and especially not with the way he’s been throwing the ball the last two weeks

Add in the weather and if this becomes a battle of the run games, we’re in serious trouble

Got to hope for no rain

Rain isn’t supposed to start till the 3rd quarter. We’ll be fine

Cam will not have 65 rushing yards. He might have 10.

    • D Carr must have really disliked the saints to wait and do this announcement after the draft has passed if he made this call a few weeks before the draft sure they would have approached it and the offseason differently.  oh well will be interesting to see how their qbs perform.  would love to see them roll with Thill and just make the whole offense towards his skillset.  Although sadly would be only playing in about half the games with how often he gets injured.
    • I have to say it's quite fascinating seeing you pivot from months and months of wailing and agonizing about threads derailing into Bryce Young slingfests only for you to turn around and do the same thing. And just for the record. Nobody in life ever attained wisdom and clarity from mistakes by having people blindly fawn over them and tell them they are above reproach and incapable of making mistakes. Our front office is just as human as we are. And based on the fact that front offices across the league outside of a handful of teams change on a fairly regular basis it's safe to say they are certainly no more infallible than the average Joe even though they possess significantly more knowledge usually. If you want a utopia where all you do is shine shoes for anyone associated with the Panthers you go right on ahead and create yourself a new community sir. More power to you.
    • I trust Morgan when it comes to LBs so I think Wallace will do well.
