The Reason Last Night's Loss Lingers More Than Usual

I care more about the passes Cam made, but  were dropped by several ppl. People are harping on the 4Q last 3 minutes. What about the plays we had in our hands but 3-4 different people literally dropped the ball that hit them in the hands? Playcalling may be bad...but even the worst playcall can have a nice pass...but if mofos cant catch it...DAMN.

PPL can poo on Shula and Ron all they want..but go back and watch how many passes Cam made that hit mofos in the hands but dropped. Had they made those grabs would have been a total different game.

Last night just plain hurt.

s someone else said, it was one of the most poorly coached games I've ever seen.

Man....the old Mr. Scot....what would he say to this guy here?

I'm still honestly shocked that phillyB and Scot are now like super fug this.

I keep remembering that we still have a good record and that we face easier opponents in the next few weeks, but this loss still stings. At least with the Saints game we were just plain bad. The fact that we had not one but TWO opportunies to win with a touchdown at the end was hard to watch.

It's because, just like so many of our losses under this staff, it was winnable.  VERY winnable.  And it feels like we lost to a lesser team - because we did.

The difference between our team and theirs is that we were outcoached, first and foremost.  I take nothing away from Philly.  They are a good, quality, most likely division-winning playoff team.  But, we are more talented where it matters...  difference is, we were outcoached, and thus outexecuted.  They put their players in positions to succeed, whereas out staff repeatedly puy ours in positions to fail, and it is beyond frustrating.

It wasn't just winnable. We are a significantly better team. We blew it in so many aspects it's just silly. Ron, Shula, Wilks, and several players are all to blame.

I don't know why I got so fuging infuriated last night when he kept running the ball because this is what he does and it's so exhausting seeing something bad happen or you know it's going to be bad and you can't do nothing about it.

You are very correct

Yeah, but go down the list and tell me which of their units is better than ours.  DL is the only one I might give you.

Our players are misused.  They arent put in a position to execute and succeed.  And if execution is a problem, another thing that also needs to be looked at is the personnel being used, and the personnel available.  We're always late making adjustments when they're needed.

When their DL is the "only one you might give me" and they're able to pressure Cam all night with a 4-man rush and virtually eliminate your running game and force Cam to throw the ball 50 times, that's all they needed.

Their DL is sick. Cox is an all-pro. He looks like he ate another man. Doesn't matter because we weren't in position to draft him, but I know we were high on him. Can you imagine a Cox/KK duo at DT?

I knew we were going to lose that game when about 2 minutes into the second half we were doing the same things that failed in the first half.  Frankly this game made me feel physically ill coupled with the fact that JR has fired Gettleman,  Rivera and Shula and an under performing
DC will probably be here for the indefinite future as well as friggin Hurney.  Luke getting concussed was the icing on the cake for me.  I shut it off about 1/2 way through the third quarter.

    • He's not wrong though. You talk like a politician on here. Leaving yourself just enough wiggle room to say you never fully counted Bryce out if you need to....But we can all see it. Just say you think he is a bust outright and you will have to type a lot less. Obfuscating your opinion behind QB3 competitions etc....
    • Most EVs are in the 90+ e-MPG meaning some measurement house somewhere compares the EV to a similar ICE model and works out how much is costs to charge (on average) versus fill up as a point of comparison. Talking long term, in the hundreds of thousands of miles?  No clue.  Some early signs are that EV batteries maintain 80% charge over 400k miles.  So there's that.   The challenge and charm of an ICE vehicle is being able to park it under a tree, get your jack stands out and tinker with your engine.  There's just not that same level of complexity in an EV.  I saw someone estimate there are 200 or so moving parts in an EV, and 2000 in an ICE vehicle.  I'm not a part counter so I can't really speak to that. I think that the EV is more the future than any type of combustion engine.  Those will still be around in specific purposes, but for most people - an EV will be the superior option in terms of efficiency.  I say that as someone who loves stupid horsepower numbers out of turbo 4 bangers and inline 6s...  I am one of those tinkers when I can be. A bigger issue for EVs is going to be the ownership versus lease.  Right now, there are INSANE leases on EVs, which is great, but what do you have at the end of that lease?  Nada, maybe some equity if you're lucky.  Where as I'm almost done paying for my car, and plan to keep it until the wheels fall off (or my son wrecks it when he starts to drive).  Will EV makers do the smartphone thing and build in planned obsolesce?  Stop updating software?  I love the tech in EVs, and I think getting more cars and trucks off the road is a good thing.  But I am still just a little concerned.  Capitalism has gotten far too extractive.
