Darryl Williams is the 5th best Tackle in the League according to PFF.

I mean, he's good.  But, 5th best?

OT DARYL WILLIAMS, 87.0 OVERALL GRADE

Williams was perfect in pass protection as he surrendered no pressures on 34 passing snaps. Williams also produced some nice run blocks in Carolina’s power blocking scheme. Carolina was content playing conservative with the lead in the second half.

@Saca312, I need your instant analysis on why PFF is wrong here ASAP.  Then, post something about how Bradberry is great designated by PFF.

Also, MATT KALIL FINALLY GOT A SOLID GRADE!  WOW!

I need some analysis on Bradberry though.  And why PFF makes sense for him, but not Darryl. LOLZ.

Because Bradberry does press like this against one of the NFL's better WRs.

The key is to do your own research and substantiate whether or not a party's claims are true or not. Go to film and back it up. Film backs up the fact we give help to Daryl a lot, making him look better than he is. Therefore, PFF is overrating him because they do not consider scheme or how protections help one person out.

To further substantiate their flawed viewpoint on offensive tackles, here are NFL player testimonies about how PFF grades tackles.

“But they don’t know anything about identification, what offensive linemen are supposed to do. They think if a guy blitzes off the edge, that’s automatically the tackle’s block, but a lot of times that’s not the case. They’ve always graded me well, which I don’t mind, but I still don’t respect it,” Lang said.

Apparently, most NFL players feel the same way.

“I know most of the guys that I’ve played with absolutely hate it, just because it’s started to gain so much steam now where Sunday Night Football, Thursday Night Football, they’re actually showing stats up there for the players,” said Lang. “I think it’s absolute garbage and I think most players do.”

Now, in terms of PFF's claim that Bradberry is the NFL's best press corner, that is absolutely true. He's been fantastic when in press coverage, and film backs that up. Scheme doesn't play as a factor in terms of press technique, so PFF will most likely be right in this instance.

So, please stop making yourself look foolish and tagging me in your mindless "oh hur hur I gotcha" childish posts.

    • Got to give some credit to the coaching staff on these. You can grab top talents but without good coaching, they just fizzle out. We've seen that a lot around here.
    • Oh, no TV for tonight's game unless you have the NHL Network, I believe. I could be wrong, hopefully?
    • Early returns are great and exciting but also worth noting that Gettleman had a few drafts that looked incredible early on and wound up mostly sucking (2014 mainly). Also PFF; grain of salt, etc.    I'm completely sold on Tet being a stud, knocked a high pick out of the park like we needed to and always should. Nearly sold on Scourton. Not sold on Princely but he had flashes. Not sold on Etienne as more than a 3rd stringer and special teamer, but that's not terrible for his draft position. Big fan of Ransom and think he'll be a starter.  Cam Jackson : IDK, I see limited upside but we didn't see much of him Evans was a nice find for draft position and he had a great rookie year for a late round rookie TE with plenty of veteran competition. Not sure about his upside though, seems like best case is a long term #2/3 TE, which isn't bad. Jimmy Horn, personally I didn't see a damn thing from him that impressed me all year. And he got a lot of opportunities. Pulling for the kid, but not convinced he's an NFLer.   UDFA: Fitzgerald was an amazing find
