Marty Hurney Plans to Add a Fifth Wide Receiver

Marty was on WFNZ this morning and mentioned that he will likely replace Kelvin's spot on the 53 with a wideout, but hasn't made the call yet.

Much has been made and joked about Bersin and Philly being available, but are there any free agent options out there that might be good to bring in? Not suggesting that there is an upgrade to KB out there, but potentially we can find a guy that can provide good depth or veteran presence.

Some "names" I saw among others was Vincent Jackson, Victor Cruise, Dorial Green-Beckham, etc.

I'd opt for a possession type guy in case Devin goes down. Any names that I missed that we should consider bringing in?

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
