He's always been Magic Johnson to me.  Revolutionary type player, similar speaking styles, saying the obvious at times, or sometimes off the wall things.

Newton makes poor analogies and off the wall statements in press conferences. It's a quirk of his. To me, that's no big deal.

Davis' comments tell me that the guys in the locker room think it's funny, not problematic. I feel the same.

And my comments have nothing to do with the media. I don't see this story being about them and don't think it's worth bringing them into it. 

To me, it's just about teammates ribbing another teammate for something goofy.

Do you think TD randomly brought up this subject to the press? That it was such an urgent issue that he had to get it clarified in the midst of prep for the Dolphins?

Or do you think the media are obsessing on irrelevant Cam BS again?

My basic point if you’re unable to get the implication is that there are continuing reasons why Cam continues to distrust the media.

I get what you're saying. I just don't see it as relevant to this discussion.

Making fun of each other is just something teammates do for laughs. To me, that's why this is a funny story. It's also a way of Davis saying "yeah, that's my guy, warts and all". 

Lord knows there's plenty of negative to be discussed. I just don't see it in this.

Everyone should know that Cam isn't exactly the most articulate when it comes to putting his thoughts into words; at least not in a media/interview type situation.

Although I will say that his press conference from yesterday was one of the better ones I've ever heard him do.  It goes without saying that he was in a good mood since we won and it was against a divisional opponent, but his speaking was overall better than it normally is.

And with all of that being said, I could really care less, just win football games, lol
