he won't return if they are out of the playoff hunt.  I get them not ruling him out if they were.  So there statement makes sense.  Plan on him returning to lead GB into the playoffs.  That is what you sell your team.  Give Aaron a chance.

that said, GB will be out of the hunt by week 15

Rodgers may be like Cam and will want to play regardless. Not sure if their coaching staff is like ours but even though it should be easy it's tough for these coaches to make a star like Rodgers or Cam unhappy.

They are 5-4 with 4 games between now and the game against us. They play the Ravens at home, Steelers away, Bucs at home and Browns away. They will lose the Steelers game with Rodgers. The other 3 are very, very winnable games even with Hundley. If they are 8-5 then he definitely plays. If they are 7-6 then he probably plays.  6-7 or worse and he likely shuts down for the year.

Hadn't even looked at this, seems pretty likely they win at least 2 of those. Ravens and Bucs could maybe go either way, they could win both but probably win 1 and Browns likely is a win -- even with Coleman and Gordon possibly coming back. So IF Rodgers is actually healthy enough, which it seems like based on this report is a pretty good chance, then it may be more likely than not that he suits up against us.

I wouldn't go as far to call any game a lock, ever.  Hundley just beat the Bears who embarrassed the Panthers.  We better be ready for whoever is at QB.

Obviously, Any Given Sunday. But we beat ourselves against the Bears and every bounce went their way. That won't happen again like it did that game. It was a rare outliar.

    • We’re past the talk and hypotheticals with Bryce. If he needs a perfect game from his receivers to not put up a stinker he’s not franchise starter material.
    • If you need someone to run your multi-billion dollar business, maaayyyybe don't hire a guy whose previous work experience includes repeated blows to the head and literal brain damage but IDK.
    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
