Superstar Dak not so much without Elliott..

WOW!!

Recommended Posts

Dak since Zeke started suspension:

• 0 TDs

• 5 INTs

• 176, 145, 179 yards

• 5.6 yards per attempt

Yeah, he is nothing without Zeke and his elite pass protection. And people had the nerve to say Dak was a WAY better QB than Cam and how much of a true leader he was :crying: Serves Dannon right, they lost an icon and gained a scrub.

Another big loss was Tyron Smith the past few games. He was back today but then they lost Martin which was kind of the same thing. Dak is only good because of ELITE offensive line and running game. WRs are pretty damn solid overall too and Witten as well and good playcalling. Dak is average at best, not even a top 10 QB. Overhyped because of his rookie year. May end up like RGIII or Nick Foles after their hyped up stretches of play.

The last few games with Bell at tackle and Dak was running for his life....

it seemed too...familiar....

The difference is Dak still had an elite other 4.. Back in 2014 Cam had Amini at guard and Chandler at the other tackle spot...

Anyone who knew anything knew this would happen. Dad is a very competent game manager, but like any game manager (especially young ones) he requires enough pieces to manage.

Dallas essentially lost all of their most important pieces and now Dak is playing with what Cam has played with for years: a bad line. Turns out, like a ton of young quarterbacks, he's not good under pressure. He can still recover but this season is shot for them as long as Zeke is out, at the very least. Hopefully it also puts a damper on the "Dak is the greatest" bandwagon. He was clearly worse than Goff or Wentz this year even before the injuries.

I don't think he ends up like RG3 since he plays so conservatively he doesn't get hurt, but he was given the job because he didn't turn the ball over and won games. Well, now he's turning the ball over a ton and losing games. Foles is a great comparison here... a scheme quarterback with one really good year sandwiched between mediocrity.

The Cowboys are a lot like us offensively except without a good defense and somehow have Worse Personnel.

I'm not saying Dak is Cam, or even close, but the Cowboys offense is trash. Dez Bryant, an Old Jason Witten and Nothing Else.

Their run game has no threats without Zeke. Jason Garrett looks more.lost than Eli after he throws a pick. Terrance Williams and Cole Beasly are JAGs that don't really thrive from the coverage Dez gets. And then they draft another Cole Beasly in Switzer and that's the only offensive weapon they drafted. Travis Frederick and Zack Martin are still good, but Collins and Cooper have been Really Bad replacing Free and Leary, and Smith has either been playing hurt or out so their O-Line is far from "elite" anymore. There's almost nothing redeemable on that offense and it's hard to imagine any QB succeeding with that unit.

Y'all get mad when people bash Cam without really analyzing anything. It's fair to do that for Dak too.

    • Everyone knew the catch was secured and didn't move. That was clear to the entire audience. The only ones who thought it wasn't a catch were in the NYC home office. They knew they'd just offer an apology the next day.
    • NEVER FORGET!!!!   Canales was on no one's radar. Tepper couldn't get anyone to come here. He was all in on Ben Johnson. Nobody wants to work with Tepper, however Canales tenure may prove important for the next guy. This guy still has no idea what he's doing.
    • The 4th down play was poor execution by Chuba. He didn't want to get physical like Rico and cut North South to lean on his blocks from Tremble and Ekwonu for half a yard. Also, the 3rd down play before that Bryce audibled out to a QB run and almost got the 1st down was on Chuba for not knowing the play call leading to poor execution. You can see Chuba's confusion when Bryce had to realign him. Then Chuba thought he was getting the handoff and was slow to develop his double team on the DE with Tremble. Then Chuba hesitated on pushing the block and just ran to the sideline making Bryce have to loop around him. This pulled the DE away from Tremble forcing Chuba to chip on the DE late and leaving the safety as a free defender. Chuba was suppose to double down on the DE to let Tremble peel off to the safety. This allows Bryce to set up his run to the inside or outside after the safety commits. You can also see Tremble walk over to talk to Chuba after the play and Chuba shrugs which tells me he didn't know what to do. The audible would have worked on 3rd and the dive would have worked on 4th. The plays were good calls and drawn up well. The question is why was Chuba unprepared for those plays in two critical back to back plays? I like Chuba as a 1st down RB and passing downs, but I have always seen him lacking the power and vision to be a short yardage power back. Chuba didn't come prepared for the Saints game or he was thrown into a position at the 3 spot that he was never prepared for.
