Captain Munnerlyn

I like this guys game more and more every time I watched the Panthers...

He has the same fire that Steve Smith posses...

I really like the play he got the pass interception penalty, the receiver would get the ball anyway, so it was no big deal but he was so aggressive and it can be easily ruled as defended pass also...

Or the play, he delivered hell of blow to the TE and injured his shoulder, actually TE did good to hold on to the ball... I mean this is 189 pounds against 250 something...

I hope he would keep it up....

Munnerlyn and Gamble will be great for awhile. They are really the reason for our 2nd ranked pass defense.

This means you either are a great D our are horrible in one aspect on D to the point no team bothers with the other. We are the latter so far. But our Run D looked good and we got decent pressure on the QB so of course our secondary is going to look better. I told you Capt would be starting (not just at Nickel). He has looked better IMO then any guy on our D. Hes got a fire and intensity you got to admire.

It is concerning that our 2nd round pick (Martin) does not even see the field though. Pretty bad when a 7th rounder is outplaying a 2nd rounder.

Does it really matter? We drafted our Nickel corner and he has come in and played light out. If makes you feel better imagine we picked Capt in the 2nd and Martin in the 7th (thats what I have to do). What sucks more is that out of this whole draft so far Capt is the only one providing true help to our team. This draft=fail so far.

That is a pretty niave way to look at it.

Tom Brady...a 6th rounder that is outplaying every QB in the league for the past 10 years.

No, it's not that our 7th rounder is performing well. It is that our 2nd rounder is not performing at all.

Uh, who cares? Captain is playing better than Marshall right now. Of course he is going to play. That doesn't mean every rookie is going to see the field the first year.

    • Another layer to that is Ive seen Seattle has been in the market for CB help this off-season.   Michael had a higher PFF grade than Horn who got 15 games this season. He wants to be here too, that's a huge bonus for any 5 win team that had awful pass rush.  The 7th rounder Michael Barrett didn't last long on Seattle, he was cut before the season I think and ended up on browns PS. He's already been on 5.......5 teams within one year.......
    • You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint-  Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.
    • THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted.    Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.
