JNo not happy could he come back?

josh wanting to come back, if he’s playing like a number 1 corner, 30 or not, they get paid, and you get him, aside from giving up draft picks.

so trading picks for him,... no,.. and if we can’t get him because we are in cap he’ll again,.. fine.

but if there’s a way, sure.

we have a lot of needs, impossible to fix them even in one perfect draft. And we never draft perfect.

This is perfect. Josh got his money, should be set for life, and now he can come back at a reduced rate and really get that championship.

He never wanted to leave and one of Gettlemans many mistakes was rescinding his tag. I thought the bridge was burned between JNO & the panthers, but with Gettleman gone, that bridge suddenly isn’t on fire anymore. Come on home, Josh!

Speaking of JNo; it was great of him to donate money to all of the churches in Greenwood for them to help out the kids. So, not only would we be getting a top notch corner back, as well as that swagger on D, we’d also be getting a good human being back!

You realize that shut down corners hardly get thrown to in games bc of who they are. The Sherman effect. Come on man your better then this.

PFF has him rated as "average" and #64 this year among all CB's.  Just stating the facts Sam.

Bradberry is 97 and Worley is 76. What does any of that have to do with what I said? He gets thrown to less period. He is an elite corner and PFF is piss poor at grading game to game vs whole season.

Gettleman royally fuged us with that Kalil contract . Now that we have so much money tied into Kalil and the dline AND have to resign Norwell , it's unlikely we'd be able to afford him .

If we could afford him ? I think he's worth a first rounder honestly , especially since we'll have a low first anyway . He makes our secondary much much better , all we'd have to worry about is getting a good young DE somewhere in the draft .

Not exactly, he did put into the contract a potential out in 2019 that will help a lot when it comes to replacing him. I see him being on the roster next season (hopefully as a backup) but not after that. I kind of feel like that might have been Gettleman's plan in the first place. To use him as a temporary plug until we can draft or sign somebody else for the position. Personally I think we should give Moton a shot but you know our coaching staff.

As for JNo, if he is cut and would come back for an amount that isn't outlandish then I say sure welcome home but if he wants to be paid like he has at Washington then sorry, no thanks Josh. I like the guy, I really do, but he just wasn't worth as much as Washington was willing to pay him.

The Skins don't use him that way.

"Shutdown" corners are assigned to the other team's top receiver. The Redskins use the same kind of "left corner / right corner" system that John Fox used here, which is actually one of Norman's complaints.

FYI, Rivera uses it too.

    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
