DeAngelo Williams claims he's still in game shape despite sitting on the couch every Sunday, waiting for the "right organization" to call

I watch GMFB and saw this.  I commend Kay, Nate, Kyle, and Peter for keeping their cool when he basically insulted them.  I will be surprised if Dwill is on that show again.

and it was right after nate just gave him an overly generous intro.

wouldn't make that mistake again.

Nate did a good job taking up for Kyle and Peter.  I also thought it was funny when they made jabs in the charades segment afterwards.  I watch GMFB all the time, I love the show.  I don't think I have ever seen Kay that quiet with a guest.  No wonder the Panthers released him.

I also watched it live. Never really jumped on the hate d-will bandwagon. But he was a royal asshole. The tension was high this morning, and that show is about as fun and calm as any show on tv, usually.

Wasn't he.  They really didn't have anything to say and held their cool.  Having watched this show from the beginning they were all speechless which isn't the norm.  I wonder what the interview was suppose to be about - they seemed to be taken off guard by the direction it took.

recap:

deangelo starts saying he's not retired, he just doesn't have a job

-he's not playing for minimum wage

-he doesn't feel like he should practice when it's too hot or too cold outside

-he asks if the panel watches football and says it's ridiculous that they think the patriots beat the steelers

-he insults Brandt because he played college football at Princeton

-Brandt takes offense and tells Deangelo he doesn't know what he's talking about

-deangelo continues to make an ass out of himself

-Nate sticks up for Brandt

-Deangelo tries to make up for being a disrespectful ass, Pete says "I think we're done"

Wow what a total asshole Deangelo continues to be.

    • would love it if Vegas were Week 5 (Oct 7).  Just throwing it out there with fingers crossed
    • I believe you are correct. Everyone remembers that record setting drubbing of the Broncos but that was the highlight of their season. They have very good coaching overall and they have a ton of talent. With a better QB they could have knocked off the Chiefs IMO. We aren't even in the conversation of the Dolphins until proven otherwise. We couldn't even get in the end zone against the lowly Chicago Bears. We got shutout and blown out by the CJ Beathard led Jaguars for fugs sake. We can't even compete with bad teams let alone run up the score on them. To me if I'm being completely realistic if I'm the GM and my job is on the line and I feel like Tua is Bryce Young's ceiling I'm drafting QB in the first round next year unless he just magically has a season like Stroud did last year. That's it. I'm genuinely not trying to be abrasive about this it just gets really mind numbing eventually that we keep lowering the bar down down down down down and it's like hey it's fine to have expectations. And if you have a young QB in his prime and he isn't giving you at least prime Jake Delhomme arm talent it's time to keep looking for a QB.
    • Not exactly.  They show that Jones was making the most of the opportunities he had.  I was never a fan of his, but I think that the talent level in NE last year is somehow escaping the massive negative attention it should have received.  That team was terrible - especially the talent and coaching on offense - and everyone was still afraid of the wrath of hoodie. He'll have a chance to restart his career at some point.  He was a middle of the pack QB as a rookie.  Plenty of teams out there would love to make it up to middle of the pack at QB.
