Hypothetical: You're The Panthers GM And Richardson Swears He Won't Intervene With One Move Of Your Choosing. You Have A First Round Pick...

Gordon’s situation has nothing to do with laws and has everything to do with intelligence. Millions of $ missed out on because of a harmless drug. I get it, it’s harmless and agree with that. But what kind of message is he sending for people on the fence...hey this harmless drug kept me away from fame and millions of dollars, don’t forget it’s harmless though.

Whoa, I'm still a fan of the "on the field talent" that Gordon is but I'm not going higher then a 4th. Especially with him being a free agent next summer.

Cleveland would definitely be smart to move him this off season since he'll walk at the end of next year.

Read this.  Unlikely they let him go.  https://www.dawgsbynature.com/2017/12/4/16735148/how-long-do-the-browns-control-the-rights-to-josh-gordon

That's actually a misconception due to the likes of idiots like Stephen A Smith and his "stay off the weed" comment. It wasn't weed. It was codeine and he was a full blown addict. He talks about the whole thing here:

So it wasn't just weed. It was Weed, codeine, alcohol, any substance that he could take that would alter his mind. And he took them while he played. He was high as a kite during his back to back 200 yard games. Let that sink in...

So he went to rehab because he was an addict so he could get clean and get his life in order. Hopefully he keeps it up. I'm rooting for him.

But again, no way in poo I'm trading a first for his ass.

I don't even care about the stuff Josh took. poo should be legal anyway and yea I am talking about codeine and poo too. As long as you don't drive and poo which should stay illegal I don't care what people wanna take to have fun, to get by, or whatever else.

It's funny to me the poo the gubment allows ppl to use to kill themselves while disallowing certain others. Same with the mentality of people against/for the same.

Not a chance!  Now,  we do have an extra third round pick, do we not?

Kelvin Benjamin is but a memory who gave us two solid seasons, but we live on, and we've proven that we could win without him, so what did we really lose?  So if we can turn an injury risk into a pot risk, but with an infinitely higher skill set,  I'd say, "Let's do it for a third and we got a deal!"

    • agree to disagree you are entitled to that opinion even though I find the argument completely bizarre based on data. I could type out a long paragraph discussing those areas but what’s the point. I posted a screenshot that showed Bryce in a similar post snap situation with a free rusher in his face which resulted in a TD - that’s what happened on the play so I posted it.
    • I've already addressed this notion in a previous reply. You are basing your assertion outside reality if you think Bryce would have not only been more successful but defeated the Patriots in place of Herbert. Bryce got blown off the field by that Patriots team with the highest paid OL in the league. We've seen Bryce with an OL that gave up 65 sacks and it resulted in the #1 pick. And that is not a defense of Herbert or arguing he is a great QB in any way. He has physical talent but he has been similar to Darnold early in his career in terms of his very up and down perfomances. However that does not change the fact that they have significantly less invested in the OL than the Panthers.
    • I think Tepper has been setting the stage where pending there is no miracle he wipes it all clean.  Think you already have been told that with small things like Evero staying.  Bryce is the guy next year.  OC, DC, everything stays the same.  QB room largely the same.  Nothing would really matter there.  They basically get one more shot and it goes how the schedule paired with our 27th ranked O predictably most likely goes.  Everyone out the door together.  Bryce is a bridge tier QB.  I don’t see Dave surviving where he could be bridge QB here in reality.
