We need to sign Jackson off the scrap heap.

If we are going to make a legitimate run in the playoffs, in my opinion we need another receiver bad.  Sure I  am encouraged by Byrd, but I don't  think that he is enough.  Moreover,  Funch's shoulder is a worry. Not that I  am a believer that a TE should be a primary receiver,  but I'm also still concerned with Olsen's foot.  Regardless, we still need to shore up our actual receiving corps.  Shepard has been more disappointing than even I  would have believed, Clay drops the ball,  and Bersin is a solid ancillary piece,  but I hardly believe that he could do damage if defenses actually keyed on him.  I think that we should look into signing V-Jax as insurance.

A wily veteran with solid hands and years of experience to patch a hole going into January is a move that Belichick would make.

not worth it , save all the resources you can for 2018 offseason, theres going to be alot of free agent WRs

The "resources" we'd have to expend are a pittance to what we'd gain in the event that we'd actually use him or need to use him.  We're  not talking big money or a long term commitment---not anything of the sort.

We've all seen Funch gimpy on multiple occasions this season.  If he goes down,  it's not a situation where you have a credible band-aid to do a good impression (like Big Ed did when Olsen went down).

    • His on target percentage is way down. 79% last year down to 64% this year.
    • I think we will surprise. We'll run all over them, and Dalton will be able to spread the ball around more effectively than Bryce. I just don't see a blowout like some are predicting. I heard the same thing about the Cowboys, but the Bills don't have anything close to Pickens. Not guaranteeing a win or anything, but it is possible. It will be closer than people think.
    • If you look at almost all Daniels stats, they are as good or better than last year minus perhaps Completion Percentage. I don't think Daniels himself is having very much less individual success than the Redskins are reverting to the mean.  https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46003861/nfl-teams-likely-decline-lose-more-games-2025-season-predictions-vikings-chiefs-commanders-lions-colts#wsh Barnwell wrote about them in the preseason as a team that had an inordinate amount of luck or success in one score games that wasn't very likely to be repeated.
