Can we beat the Saints?

I'm itching for revenge...I want to win the one that matters against them, we are the team that is more experienced in the playoffs. Brees is the only playoff vet on that team.

It would be so sweet to knock them out and I know our Panthers want to make it happen.

I remember 03 when we had zero chance to win vs the greatest show on turf.

Anything can fugging happen, it's the fugging playoffs!!

#keeppounding

Also if we don't Charlie Brown punts and fumble kickoffs we would have won the last game.

You're right:

In '03 we had no chance in STL.

In '05 we had no chance in CHI

In '15 there was no way we would beat SEA twice

You never know what can happen in the playoffs.

On the flip side, I never thought we would lose in '08 against the Cardinals or in the SB against the Broncos.

We have to go into NO with a good game plan and execute. I expect Olsen to have a much bigger impact next time, and Cam has been super clutch most of this year. Bring it on

The Saints aren't unbeatable.  If I remember correctly they lost to teams we beat.

We have to bring high intensity and a game plan to stop their running attack.

We are one of the best third down teams in the league.

I think the defense is itching to show they can stop Brees and Company.

The emphatically "no way we win" fans are embarrassing.   Will it be easy? No.  achievable?  Absolutely

ANYBODY THAT SAYS A 11-4 TEAM CAN'T BEAT ANYONE IS A MORON.

Being realistic means it will be a tough task in a hostile environment.  NO Doubt but to say 100% no way.  Isn't realistic it is just plain stupid and moronic.

Lolz. Whatever you say guy.  If you honestly think we have a chance in New Orleans, I have some beach front property in Wisconsin to sell you.  Cheap too.  Want to know the price?  I think you’ll buy it since you seem super gullible.

I never said it would be easy and that is was a given we would win but, to say we have no chance is just plain ignorant.   Our defense has a lot of pride and we need to be focused on the game plan and if they execute it we can win. We will have to play a near perfect game but I would never count us out.  Unlike some of the fair weather fans we have on this board.   (Take a mirror and you'll see one of them)

I am totally amazed at the "not a chance in hell" attitude some of you have.

absolutely we can. we should have and could have won both games, esp. that first one. in both cases, our heads weren't in it for whatever reason. team was not prepared and did not adjust.and i still put that on coaching.

if the coaching staff doesn't hold anything or anyone back and the players can eliminate brain farts, we will roll out of new orleans with an upset. saints are scary good, but so are we. i'm positive that this team can beat any team in the league when we're firing on all cylinders.

i don't trust that we will, but i believe that we can.

EXACTLY!!!

i am really embarrassed at the fair weather non believers. This is a playoff game and for that we have the advantage.  As we all know the playoffs is lose an your are out.  The Aints haven't played in a playoff game in 4 or 5 years and have very few players that have experienced the playoffs.   We have.  We have the advantage of experience in facing the lose and your out pressure.   This will be a big advantage for us.

    • I can understand the logic. Going for 2 made sense the first time considering how far down we were. Then you don't get it and are basically forced to go for it the second time, too. Way down the list of concerns we have, IMO.
    • Rozeboom needs to get better before he's a JAG.
    • The successful teams in the NFL right now have one thing in common: Patience. Not just with their QB, but with every facet of the program. There are going to be successes and failures, but no one panics and makes reactive decisions. Look at the Eagles, the Bills, the Ravens, the Packers, and hell, even the (newly successful) Lions. All of them showed patience with their QB's growth, let their coaches do their jobs, have drafted well, developed their own players, and plugged holes in their roster and organization with players and situations that made sense. That's what we need. And if that isn't what we have now, we need to make moves to get it there. If that means they need to blow it up to start over, then blow it up and start it over the right way. If that means to change their approach from top to bottom, change it now. But the blueprint of success is out there in the league, teams just think they know better, or they don't have the discipline to follow through.
