Dave Gettleman is back.

The Giants have hired their former front office executive as their new general manager. Gettleman, who previously served as the Panthers' GM, will be the Giants' fourth full-time general manager in 38 years and gives the team some front office continuity.

Gettleman was a runner-up when Jerry Reese, who was fired in early December, received the job in 2007, and he has a close relationship with former Giants GM Ernie Accorsi, who consulted the team on its ultimate decision to hire Gettleman this time around. Assistant general manager Kevin Abrams had been serving as interim general manager since Reese's firing.

no worries bruh.   Hurney bout to spend the next couple first rounders on RBs and pay them a poo load.  It will work.

As much as I hated to lose Gettleman and 'gain' Hurney, Hurney has hit on most of his limited moves this season. Gano is back to Pro Bowl form, Palardy has done excellent and we're getting a middle 3rd round pick for KB whose subtraction from our WR corps has had a net positive effect. Maybe he's learned his lesson since his monster contract days. I'll keep my fingers crossed because we're riding with him this offseason. The mess that Jerry has created will take a long time to clean up and move on from.
