Just a Thought.

Since nothing has come about about why Gettlemen was released by Carolina, I tend to think if there was something negative it would have come to light already or addressed in some way by Gettlemen himself in an interview.  I am starting to think that that Gettlemen wanted out.  He may have knew what was going to eventually go down with Mr Richardson, and that with selling the team, new management was on the way.  He may have had inside knowledge that the GM position in NY was going to become available.  Obviously GM of the Giants is Gettlemens dream job.  Between mutual respect for each other it was decided that its in the best interest for both parties to desolve the relationship early rather than latter.

Yeah I'm with @LinvilleGorge. There's no way anyone could have known the Giants would deal with the kind of injuries they have and be as terrible as theyve been. Especially not before training camp even started. Gentleman was fired for reasons yet unknown, and it just so happened that the only other NFL job he would have accepted came available this year. It worked out really well for Gman and the Gmen. Not so much for the Panthers
