Sorry guys having trouble embedding.  Anyways, Louis Riddick is known for being arguably the most knowledgeable football analyst on TV. He pretty much said after re watching the Carolina vs ATL game, Carolina's wide outs got no separation all game long.. Also, the wide receivers were running day 1 training camp routes for the entire duration of the game, not challenging ATL's secondary at all. It's something us fans have noticed, but it was nice for a mainstream analyst to recognize Shulas deficiencies. Unlike Troy Aikman who talks Shula up all the time.

I thought it was worth the 1:30 watch

Some of us have been screaming about Shula's poor play design for a long, long time.

Shula has moments, maybe even brief streaks, of brilliance when it comes to playcalling and gameplanning, no doubt. Unfortunately though those are more the exception and less the rule.

every game this year it seems we have gotten that one autismo drive that is like 16 plays, 8 minutes and ends in a TD. The rest of the game though... nada.

Anybody that's a little bit knowledgeable see the routes as a problem. I notice we do a lot of bunch formation loading one side, I see a lot of congestion with our routes. I posted this in the bills game, there were times where Cam didn't have a passing option on his right side. All you saw was the green field. Why? We have to spread defenses out evenly. Cam should have a target on each area of the field.

When do we do spread them out and go empty back-field, it's usually a Cam draw. It happens ALL THE TIME. How can you not expect teams to not notice this.

Aikman is jealous and quite possibly a racist, they poo on Cam all game long and find ways to talk him down. If Cam throws an interception (what a terrible throw). Aaron Rodgers throws and interception (The wr has to run a better route) the agenda has gotten old.

Aikman definitely called out the constant players in the same area a couple times. He didnt put it all on Cam last week, he definitely called out the routes

Riddick quote from the video:

Quote

"If you expand it outwards, the wide receivers need to work better to get open in that game, 'cause when you watch the All-22 of that game (and I was looking at it this morning) nobody was getting open against the Falcons at all.  And then the route designs were like Day One Install as far as, like, training camp type stuff, so it the Falcons were like "Really? This is what you're gonna run? Then we're gonna make your quarterback struggle.  He's gonna have a tough day here."

Sounds really, really familiar to me.

On one of Cam's interceptions, there was essentially three receivers in the exact same area.  So what happened when he overthrew it?  Why, it went directly to the defender who was covering the Carolina receiver very close *behind* the Carolina receiver that was overthrown (Olsen I think).

    • Best I heard its a clause the bungals want to add. It prevents them form paying the full guaranteed amount if triggered. No one knows the details of the clause, but guesses are it relates to off-field stuff. Stewart is in the right here. Before they signed burrow, chase, and Higgins they were the cheapest team in the league bar none. Unlike tepper or jarrah Jones or any other NFL ownership, all Mike brown owns is the beagals. Every other owner has many other money making businesses, not bungals.  I still remember when Brenston Bunker was starting on WFNZ and he told the story about the beagals telling him to pick a used cup form a huge pile, LOLS! They been on hard knocks and I remember Marvin lewis telling the players not to take home Gatorade bottles........* but in that case, I believe some players were taking a back pack and filling it up with drinks. Still you make millions(around 200million) in net profit and Im sure coke gave the team those bottles, still... Its a 32 team billion business, someone has to the cheapest.....Panthers were around the next cheapest team before tepper bought them and he has POURED millions upon millions into the team. He bought a bubble that Richardson never would, so the team had to gather in building during the rain. He spent millions on coofus machines that he just gave away like the bubble. Tepper made that AC trailer a thing. I've trashed him about his concerts and taking away end zone seats from fans. But the guy will spend money any way to efforts to better the team, dang I just remembered the deal he gave Rhule- more than Andy Reid at the time.  I know results have not came, but Id 100% take Tepper over Mike brown as a owner.
    • There's no way they're shipping you some uniform you haven't seen lol.  I feel like they'd just refund you and ask if you wanted the new one when it launched. Probably just making the blues the primary, or a new helmet for a new alternate/variation.
    • Man even after 5-12 seasons they are able to produce hype videos.
