Official Panthers at Saints Wildcard Gameday Thread.

At the very least , the Panthers players should be motivated to have a much better performance than last week . I'm sure they've been noticing the media dismissing their chances at winning as well.

I think the offense is going to rebound. I'm actually more concerned about the defense thats been getting exposed week in and week out. If we can't stop the run we have no chance to win.

I'll be looking particularly at the defenses ability to stop the run and if they force some turnovers.

what impressed me about the Falcons defense the last 2 weeks is that their secondary members are basically glued to WRs from Rams/Panthers . Its like the exact opposite of our DBs playing with 5 , 10 yard cushions and always taking terrible angles to tackle. You dont have to worry about giving up huge plays if you are being physical with the WRs and not allowing them any space from the snap

    • Should never had to fight thru OT. The Canes flat out did not handle the push from the Kings in the 2nd and 3rd periods, and lost most of their offense along the way. It was sheer survival mode for 2/3 of the game and the Canes couldn't even clear.  Ehlers is on the cusp- he looks like he's going to break out at any moment. Not sure the Canes have had a puck handler and passer like him in a few years. He's a beast below the goal line and can shoot from anywhere. He's frustrated right now and every time he comes off the ice he's shaking his head and slamming his stick. Aho, OT notwithstanding, is a hot mess right now. Bad passes, losing pucks... Vegas (4-0-2) Monday, Avs (5-0-1) Thursday and Dallas (3-2-0) Saturday before coming home. These first 3 games were only a tune up.
    • Weekly reminder that FSU is now 5-15 since Mike Norvell and FSU's crybaby tirade about how they got screwed out of a shot at a national title.  Please FSU, remind us of how you deserve so much more money than the rest of the ACC and you are the team every conference pines to have(also 1-11 in the ACC since then).
