If new owner wants a new stadium would you be mad if it’s not uptown?

Just saw this online and I would not be a fan. I know they want a new dome with parking. I honestly believe Sabates wants the parking more than anything. The part about Sabates knowing the owner personally rustles my jimmies.

Im trying to do research about this area and where exactly it is but the whole area is industrial if I recall. 

I love the tailgating nooks and the easy access to all the bars for after the game. 

If half the stadium is in SC and the other half in NC, how does police security, taxes, and ABC LAWS work?

What say you huddle? A minor break from the discussion of today’s small, no biggie, and no impact what so ever move today.

It's the product on the field that counts the most. They could play in a cornfield but if they are winning championships the profits would roll in big time.

I love seeing the skyline over the top of the upper deck, but I will still be just as big of a fan if the team leaves uptown. Downtown stadiums are a nightmare logistically. My bigger concern is who is going to pay for it.

Where would it go in uptown except where it currently is? Wanna play at Clemson for years while the current stadium is torn down and rebuilt? That sounds like an awful situation.

True Uptown is packed and there is no where else to build unless you buy up a lot of land outside 277 and that price tag...yikes. I think it’s just the idea of change that bothers me but this new group is the definition of change.

It'd be extremely difficult to build the kind of parking lot they want around Bank of America.

Would be a HORRIBLE decision to move from Uptown CLT... I would definitely be against it.

 

The Panthers have an AWESOME thing going with the downtown setting, it's one of the best in the league. I'd be much more in favor of renovating/modernizing the current stadium (see: Solider Field), which could end up being still one of the best/most modern stadiums in the NFL, but also where it should be; Uptown CLT. You would think Local owners would know this, but you never know...

I honestly think you’d be hard pressed to find any stadium situation in any sport in recent history that’d be more unnecessary, that the VAST majority do not want, yet that which the local media keeps ramrodding.
