Del Rio not getting the Giants DC job

Shurmur apparently decided Bettcher was the better option.

Del Rio would certainly make an excellent linebacker coach, but I doubt he settles for less than a DC gig, and we don't have that to offer.

Still think either John Pagano or Bobby Babich gets our LB coach spot.  Pagano could also be tabbed by Steve Wilks.

Man, Would love to have Del Rio back at the helm of the defense again. He is a great DC, wonder why they chose Bettcher over him?

Del Rio is kinda like Norv Turner in this respect. He's a great coordinator but an OK head coach.

Bettcher seems to be kind of a rising star (the Titans wanted him too).

Side Note: I reviewed the Cardinals staff from last year.  Better than half of them had more experience coaching at the college level than at the pro level.  Found it kinda odd.

Man I feel bad for him. He has built programs wherever he's gone, and when he was in Jacksonville is personnel was poo and there was an ownership change. Doesn't Seattle need a DC? Lions still don't have a coach do they?

Seattle hired Ken Norton.

Lions are hiring Matt Patricia.

I feel that having Norv Turner and Jack Del Rio as coordinators could take this team to the next level.

There are only two defensive coordinator openings left in the league right now, both of whom have guys from the Patriots tree (Detroit and Tennessee). Unknown whether they'd have any interest in Del Rio.

Panthers and Cardinals are both in need of a linebacker coach if he's willing to take that role again.

Jack Del Rio coaching Luke Kuechly could certainly be interesting.

Wasn’t Wilks hired as Secondary/Ass’t HC? Could we not do teh same thing? I know Ron wanted Wilks to begin with but took McD when SD wouldn’t let him go...

dont see see it happening regardless, but they’d find a way if they wanted to...
