I'm sure the team pretty badly wants to put the Jerry Richardson misconduct story behind them as soon as possible. How do you do that if you have a GM who was the target of a similar complaint?

Even if he's found not guilty, people aren't gonna forget that so easily.  Heck, how hard did media - even at a national level - go after Cam Newton for a comment that unintentionally came out as sexist?

(heck, don't be surprised if people bring that story back up now too; trends and all)

If he is not guilty then there is no problem unless you are one of those ppl who already was prejudging the guy anyways before FACTS came out.

Did Ezekiel Elliott do anything illegal or that was game affecting?

Hurney is technically a league employee so he's subject to the personal conduct policy.

And think about it: If they go easy on Hurney after being tough on Elliott, what are people gonna say? :Eyes_Emoji_42x42:

That’s a good point, I didn’t think of Zeke. I guess they could find some way he violated league policy. As much as I hate the Cowboys, I do feel like Zeke got screwed a little bit.

Elliot was accused of domestic violence. By 3 different women.

But they arent the law, if the law is letting it go, how can the NFL keep investigating and so on? Are they above the law?

The law has different requirements than the NFL does.   I am not even sure that most of what she accused Hurney of is even illegal, unless there was some kind of restraining order.

Isn’t it illegal to hack someone’s personal property and B and E?

All this harassment B.S. is just that B.S.  Everytime someone gets their feelings hurt they automatically scream racism or sexism or whatever.

You people that bash JR should be shot and quartered.  No matter how good or bad he was to this franchise if it weren't for JR your stupid asses would still be cheering for Atlanta or Washington.

80+ year old man came from a different era and probably has said some things that 20 years ago would have been blown over.   No one knows exactly what was said or done but to JR's credit to allivate some of the pressure he sells the team.

Every indication is we won't get a better owner, just a new one.  To this day we have no idea who is the frontrunner for this franchise.  It will be some asshat that is going to hold Charlotte hostage for a new arena and we'll end up losing this franchise.   Many of your frontrunners don't remember the Carolina's without a franchise.  IT SUCKED.   Some of us older fans appreciate everything JR did for us and bleed Carolina Panther Blue and Black.

While JR wasn't the perfect owner and didn't bring us a Lombardi and least he wasn't Jerry Jones or Daniel Synder that can't keep their dumb asses out of the day to day operations.   Just to remind you mindless twits that bash him over mediocreness.   Neither Dallas or Washington has won the Lombardi Trophy since the Panthers have been in existence.  In fact, a couple of seasons we were the reason their season ended.

Becareful of what you ask for.  YOU MIGHT JUST GET IT!!!!!

Mr. Richardson, thank you for you undying efforts to bring a team to the Carolina's.  Without your efforts I would not have the incredible memories that I share with my family and friends.

But wasn't investigated for everything, and the thing that kickstarted it was his pulling up a woman's top in public. A woman's rights group threatened to sue over that.

    • They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
