It's like he just threw darts at a board, hit with Kuechly, Cam, Norman and Hardy. Missed on just about every other pick, and not just "oh, he's below average depth", these guys were gone in two years.

Yeah, I mean the vast majority of those guys never even saw real NFL action. They were just not even close to being NFL caliber players. That's what made those drafts so awful. Out of 25 draft picks, 18 of them suited up to play for fewer than 48 NFL games. 48 games is the equivalent of 3 full NFL seasons. Only 3 of the 25 suited up for the equivalent of 5+ NFL seasons. That's atrocious.

RBs in the first round are not good value. Look at Elliott for the Cowboys. He is being paid as one of the top players at his position. When you draft a rookie they need to make an impact and not be one of the highest paid players at that position. Not with a salary cap. Enjoy the low salary at that position while one can.

Elliott had the 9th highest RB cap hit last season. I'd say that's pretty damn great value. Wanna cry? Stew was #5. The Cowboys are going to get two years of relatively cheap production out of Elliott and then three years of paying him market value. Then, if they're smart, they'll let him walk and let some other team completely reset the RB market with his free agent contract.

The reason I'm not a huge fan of drafting RBs high in the 1st round is that yeah, you only get great ROI in those 1st two seasons and you don't want to be the team on the hook when that guy signs his 2nd contract. RBs tend to have one of the easiest transitions to the NFL, so early ROI is usually pretty good, but long-term ROI isn't great. Especially if you're operating under the idea of not signing him to that 2nd contract.

The fastest he ever ran 100 meters was 11.3 which is mediocre. In comparison cmc ran 100 meters in 10.8 at 16 years old yet ran 4.48 in combine Barkley is 230 lbs I don’t renember a 230 lb back running under 4.4 unless his name is bo jacksonJackson

Lol how are u gonna equate 100m times to 40 times... I ran a 11.4 hundred but could hit 4.4 in highschool. Short yardage burst and acceleration are different than substained long distance speed. The rate at which you hit your top speed and how quickly you reach it says a lot more for the 40.
