there's a lot of weird beliefs among athletes. these young men have grown up dealing with racism, dealing with bullshit, dealing with struggle. now they're rich, and they're incredibly successful, and now they've got people trying to prey on them. now they've got people lying to them to try to take their money. they've got people judging constantly and they're bombarded from every direction. so they lose trust in things. they gonna believe history from the same textbooks that call slaves "immigrant workers?" they gonna believe pastors asking them for donations who didn't care before the athlete struck it rich?

they don't feel like they can trust anybody. i think it's the reason there are a lot of flat earthers in the NBA. they reject cultural norms because culture rejected them until they hit the lottery.

Clearly no one read the website. It is not a religion. They are for self knowledge and self upliftment. They believe every race has an origin and it may not be here on planet earth.  You guys kill me. There was nothing negative about that website. Reading is fundamental.  Religion by definition is a cult. This is more historical and self upliftment.

Found this on reddit before it was deleted. Really interesting stuff.

On second thought, would you have put a pause on signing him knowing he's part of something that's known to cause football players to quit their careers to follow such religion?

Here's the original link but to a ceddit.

While looking through the Zay Jones incident I noticed a mention of something Sammy Watkins tweeted about the incident but then deleted shortly after. He mentions that he follows in a “Lord Ahmen” and no longer believes in Jesus leading me to realize that he’s not saying some version of “amen” but that Lord Ahmen is a different person. A quick look at his Twitter reveals more of the same.

So I did some quick google searching which led me to this site.

And oh boy is it bat poo crazy. I’ll let you check that out for yourself but there are definitely shades of the stuff that Adam Muema got into that led him to quit football to follow his beliefs. Now, I’m not saying that Sammy is going to quit football or even do anything crazy, but it seems alarming at least that he’s put his faith in an ideology that has replaced religion for him and that has very interesting views on race and the afterlife.

Let me know what you guys think.

This is not a cult bro. You kill me with your misleading headlines. Do some research before you post these things.

what website? i'm just talking in general, to people who want to judge athletes like Kyrie for having "stupid" beliefs. try being bullshitted your whole life and it makes it harder to just accept the common thought.
