Getting laid off in july

Basically been working this job since i was 18 started as an intern and worked all the way up in 13 years . I walked in today and my boss told me it was best for the company to lay off me and 2 other guys for younger kids out of high school so they could save money. Now my biggest problem is i have no degree and the kids now are coming in with grad school degrees the times have change , i applied to other jobs in my sector (financial sector ) and they are not accepting me because of my no college and with the amount of college grads with masters ,grad degrees from top schools going for this job. I got this job by knowing a connection and hard work , connection doesn't work anymore or does he have any connections to help me out. 

I am now 31 with no degree and in need of a career change quickly by july before my money runs out . If anyone can please give me some advice on how i should approach this . Anyone know any carrers that are easy and fast to get into with no college degree? please no one say go back to college because im not taking on student loan debt and cant afford it . real sad day for me losing out on this good job that paid me very well over the years .

The good news is you're still young enough to join the military. 

If you want to remain in state for your service look into the Guard.

You been there 13yrs and your being replaced by somebody with NO Degree right out of HS? 

Sorry but that seems odd to me. 

No offense.

But you're salary must be extremely bloated for what you do if you can replaced by somebody right out HS.

You cannot let people go for that.  You can sue.  I would.  Attorney is free and takes 30% of proceeds.

Electrical work is good but hard work. Guys are always busy and in need of help and most of them dont mind taking on someone with no electrical background because those "are the best ones to teach because they dont already think they know it all."

The legal process could take years and there is no guarantee the outcome would be favorable.

Yeah, the trades electrical/plumbing/HVAC are desperate for new blood as the younger generations are gravitating towards computer related fields.

Pay is pretty good once the training is completed.

I'm not sure that at 31 he falls into a "protected "class. You can be released, laid off, terminated, fired,...you pick the word, for budgetary reasons. Yep. just checked. You must be over 40.

      Bet didn't hit because the referee missed 3 clear corner kicks. I had a 5k parlay that would have been alive tomorrow if he didn't miss those calls as well. Super annoying

      We all love to see the lob threat but there's gotta be a solution here if LaMelo is to be the centerpiece because this is simply not sustainable if we want to continue to ascend. If he can't drive to the basket then that means we need to add another player to the core who can. That would require moving someone like Miles Bridges. And that's certainly not going to be popular with LaMelo but something has to give here for what we are investing and we need to maximize guys like Miller and Knueppel on rookie deals while we still can. The three chucking is fine when it's working where the issue comes into play is there are no adjustments when it isn't and we just go into a shell and begin to look like the Hornets of yesteryear. That's why the offensive evolution of all involved is critical to us taking the next step. Getting to the play in is nice but we should have our sights set much higher. Right now though they need to take care of business against the Heat. All I ask is that they at least beat those fools. I cannot stand the Heat.
