Moton will be tried at left guard

Not entirely.

Its been batted back and forth on here a lot (even recently) whether Moton could or would play inside or not. Rivera seems to have settled the question now.

Saying Moton will have the opportunity to compete for the LG position does not mean he can or will play inside...that’s simply what they’re trying to find out.

Exactly. So it doesn't rule out drafting a top guard in the draft. They would be dumb to overlook the position simply because of  moton as well.

I like getting draft picks from the earlier rounds on the field to develop and contribute. If they aren't worthy of contributing, they get tossed when it comes time to the 5th year option. I hate situations where we are wasting NFL starter quality talents on cheap, rookie contracts (e.g. Shaq).

If those players are filling starter spots after the final year of their rookie contract, we have made a terrible roster decision.

Of course he'll be given a shot and he may be our starter there this year. However I do still think the ultimate plan is to groom Moton to be our long term LT. That's where he fits best. After we cut Matt after this season I'm thinking Moton shifts over there.

He should replace Williams at RT

yes basically it is saying he pretty much is going to play guard unless he just totally blows...

Typical Hurney years. Lets throw poo and see if it sticks. Everyone gets a shot because we don't fill the holes we need to.

No CB help, No RB help, no G help, and no TE help. How can anyone say we are better than last year?  Unless we kill the draft this will be a 8-8 year.

You are griping about our second round guard selection being tried at guard.  Do you think for a second before you post?

"I had to go back and watch his 2015 tape when he played guard. He was a little rough at tackle this year but that isn't his spot. Big and strong as a guard. He was moving guys from Ohio State around like it was nothing." -- Area scout for NFC team

11-5...playoffs...we have CB help,we have OG help,we need OT help ...a typical G-man trait...we are better than last year =Norv Turner...when we hit a homerun in the draft I look forward to what else you will complain about...
