Trade Down best option

Cleveland/NE/Ind are the targets that allow us to complete our roster in a competitive manner. Clev 33&35 (1130)or Ind 36&37 (1070) Ne 30&43 (1070)all equal our 24&55(1090) pick in trade value we may have to sweeten the Clev deal with our 5rnder(26.6). But how can we not try to secure the DB and safety or TE DE RB we need. The talent at 24 isn't dramatically better then at 31 why not pick up two players of high value that can impact our roster this year. I say this with sound reasoning if I sound far fetched or to homer friendly may your gif reflect my craziness but seriously each team could target a player Ridley a top CB each team would have already picked. I wonder if that's normal to inform teams of your willingness to trade back with them if something they want drops to 24. Each team would still be getting two picks just letting somebody secure their prize at 24 instead of 30/33/35 etc this seems like our best option to come away with two Day one starters is this very reasonable or far fetched? Does it make sense gives us more talent to start this season or no need to move ?

I agree. I’m never on the trade down train but there’s nobody at 24 that I have to have. Give me Will Hernandez and Justin Reid with the extra two 2nd rounders

I'm all on the trade down train, really want Reid, he can be ours in the early second and we can pick up a few other picks as well

If the value isn't there why would they make that trade...Cleveland sitting pretty in the draft...

Gettleman once said something about 1 dollar is better than 10 dimes.... NOT in this case. Id b more than willing to trade our pick to the Browns for 2 second rounders. That would leave us with 5 picks in the top 100..... Cb, S, WR, DE ,TE or Oline.  But that's just me though.

However, I reserve confidence in Hurney's second round drafting skills. Hopefully Norv, Washington and the scouts keep him from Armanti Edwarding the draft.

This is exactly what I hope happens. Especially considering the talent gap from 24-33-35 is very slight we could grab two top tier talents and fix two gaps vs solving one that’s a simple win win equation. 

Example: No trade back- #24 we draft Ridley(unlikely he even falls that far)

Trade back: #33 we draft Justin Reid #35 Will Hernandez 

Not only does that fill an extra hole with top tier talent but it allows us to use a 3rd rounder for BPA and I know plenty of you RB lovers would love to take potentially a Chubb/Penny. Or use that extra third to trade back into the 2nd and take Michel. Hands down trading back is what we need and I really hope we do also let’s keep in mind a team might be willing to sweeten the deal even more with another 3-6 round pick if they love a prospect. By the way safety is our biggest need by far if you disagree just look at our safety starters/depth/age its an old group filled with “gap” players let’s get a real stud back there.

That's kinda scary thinking back Eric Shelton but hopefully it's Norv on Off and RR's heavy input on D Hurney 2.0 baby might be better then before.

Some of my sources have informed me that Hurney is actively attempting to find a trade partner to trade back in the 1st round.

5th year option is huge and unless you get a killer deal isn’t worth giving up in a trade down.
