Ragnow is my favorite offensive lineman in this draft (top 10 talent excluded). Is he a first rounder? No. But he'd be a great 2nd round pick and a steal in the 3rd.

Agree 100%. He's my favorite OL target for us by far. Obviously I'd love to have Nelson replace Norwell but that ain't happenin'. I'd take Ragnow in the 2nd or trade up in the 3rd to nab him. Would be a great get. Immediate starter at LG this year then can replace Kalil as a long term franchise anchor of the line.

If there is a guy in this draft that fits the Andrew Norwell mold, it's Ragnow. I don't know if he has the straight tenacity that Norwell has but he certainly has some of the intangibles.

Now I now the bench press isn't the end-all be-all when comparing the strength of two players. However, it is important to note that Ragnow did put up four more reps than Norwell did at the combine in 2014. To me, this is an indicator that the strength is certainly there for Ragnow.

Where Ragnow reminds me of Norwell the most is in his ability to get to the next level and take on multiple blockers.

Take a look at the below play against TCU: Ragnow sets up the screen with the initial block then runs 10 yards downfield to actually get ahead of the play and finishes off the second block in the open so that his back can get an extra 8 yards or so.

Additionally, take a look at this play against Ole Miss: Ragnow pulls and gets out in front leading the way for his back and finishes off his man while also being cognizant of when to let up to avoid a penalty.
I would love to add Ragnow as he could fill in right away at guard while also being groomed to take over for Kalil. He'd be a fantastic pick.

Taking a guy like Ragnow could also open up the potential of keeping Moton at OT if we want to or we could bump Moton inside to LG and groom Ragnow to he Kalil's successor at center next year. LOL... let's not kid ourselves. Our backup center is almost certainly gonna end up starting half the games this upcoming season.

I agree with this--except who is Nelson?  Here is how I see it going down---Moton competes with Ragnow for LG.  Next season, Ragnow to C, Moton to LG or LT.

Quenton Nelson from Notre Dame. He's one of the highest regarded prospects of any position in the draft.
