Newsgroups aren't illegal, there are thousands of legal files on there.    I'm sorry you don't know what you are talking about.     You should google newsgroups and do some some research.     The applications, can be used to download legal files.    Plex is a legal app that people use as well.    And, for the 2nd time, these threads come up every 2 months and we have the same discussions.

I never said newgroups were illegal.  I never said all files on newsgroups are illegal.  I never said any apps were illegal.  What I said was that posting and consuming copyrighted material is illegal, and that discussing how to do that on this message board can potentially cause a problem for the owners and operators of this message board.  You said that TV shows are posted within days of their release.  That suggests illegal posting and consuming of copyrighted material.

Again, I don't give af if you have a library of 8 million copyrighted files, and if you share those with half the world naked, and smoking crack.  I also never said whether I ever do or do not participate.  What I'm saying is that it should not be openly discussed on here, potentially causing legal issues for people who are not involved in the discussion.  Just because a topic was discussed once before, doesn't mean it's not going to cause problems.  Note that your original post was deleted by an Admin.

Never said that said TV shows were illegal, there's a lot of shows on the web that are free and can be shared.

Note that I don't care, but do you feel strong now white knight? lol.

I just recently signed up for 2 months of sling and got a free Roku in the bargain.  So far I am pretty happy with it though there have been a few glitches here and there.  I cant entirely fault sling though as my isp sucks donkey balls and my download speed is about 5 mbps and I have a feeling they are the primary cause of the problems I have had.  For $20 a month I think its a pretty good deal  - I have a big antenna in my attic that brings in all the OTA stations in the area which is about 20-25.

When I had sling, the reliability was okay, but the video frame rate was terrible. Sports movement was jerky and blurry.

Also, if any of these services ever gets around to offering Dolby audio, let me know. Sound is important to me, and Dolby>>>>>>stereo

I’ve tried most of them and PS Vue is the best of them IMO

Same conclusion.  I've tried pretty much everything (one exception is Direct TV Now) but Vue is the best one I've used.  Plus the Core package has pretty much all I need.  Go with Vue you'll love it.

love Vue. Use thru Roku and have Netflix and redbox beta for now.

like someone said I may buy 1 month or get a trial just to watch a particular show.

I up the package on Vue during football season then back to the low tier after. MLB I may do free trial stuff or watch a game on its app in Roku.

A lot of folks still stuck in their houses with no way out and a lot of flooded homes at least needing the saturated sheetrock ripped out. I have my dad coming with his contractor's van with a lot more tools.
