Panthers believe Zach Banner can be a factor with the right coaching

I would sign every fa lineman i could and then try to figure out a way for them to practice anonymously so Ron cant decide who makes the team or plays based on seniority or their contract.

I like his measurables and it wouldn't hurt to find out in TC what the kid can and can't accomplish. Matkso has worked magic before in reclamation projects and utterly failed at other projects so it's up in the air at this point (insert the chicken salad, chicken poo idiom here). I wonder if keeping guys like that behemoth Canadian (can't remember his name, I think it was Focault maybe?)  on the roster for 2-3 seasons that couldn't block a poster board was the O-line coaches idea or RR's.

Wow. Relax dude, I was chill, just discussing someone I didn’t like. You seem to be backpedaling a bit. If you liked him coming out as a multi-year starter from USC then saying 4th round is a reach (4th is mid round by the way) seems a contradiction. I wouldn’t have drafted him, that’s how much I disliked him. UDFA, sure who cares, maybe 1 a year at best makes the team.

Panthers didn't have fourth round pick last year after trading up for Hall, but they've quietly added two 2017 4th rounders since then. Banner is interesting but I'm more intrigued by the other guy: Dorian Johnson. Johnson was considered by many to be a top 3-5 guard and somewhat surprisingly fell to the fourth. The two have had near-identical paths to Carolina too.

Banner: drafted in 4th by Colts, released in final cuts, claimed by Texans and finishes season, signs with Panthers in offseason.

Johnson: drafted in 4th by Cards, released in final cuts, claimed by Browns and finishes season, signs with Panthers in offseason.

Hopefully one sticks.

Don't make a post that says "What?" when there are twenty prior posts that answer your question.

By the way, interrogative sentences end with a question mark (?).

Nice.

Posts like this make a fan excited. The diamond in the rough story is always fun when it works out. Just like The White Buffalo.
