I don't believe there are any locks, except two.

I think there are 3 locks. CAP, CJ, and McCaffrey will all make it. The question is if we want to keep a 4th back on the roster or have a practice squad guy. I personally don't see a 4th back on the roster as it stands right now. We have too many (more) talented guys at other positions that would have to be cut to make room. Don't see that happening.

Elijah Hood still has a shot.

Elijah Hood still has a shot.

I'm still trying to figure out where Hood fits. I've seen him mentioned as a FB (could beat out Armah?) Both players are PS eligible. I have a hard time seeing both on the active roster.

Gun to my head we go into next season with the following

CMC, Anderson, CAP, Barner

Hood to PS

I would rather have Hood over CAP but I think Rivera ultimately wins the battle as he seems to love CAP.

Based on his 18 rushing attempts last year? That is hardly showing love for a player.  I know Rivera said some things recently, but what happens on the field is what matters and where "love" of a player is shown.

Based on every single Rivera quote saying he wants CAP to get more playing time

CAP wasn't playing over stew last year. not at stew's price point and fandom.

If he loved cap, Cap would have played more, Stewart or no Stewart.  IMO, he says nice things about Cap  because he is the coach and that is what coaches do.  Especially if they know they are a couple of injuries away from having to depend on that player.  But if he loved, (and by loved I mean thought Cap was really good), he would have played Cap at least 5-10 snaps per game.

He’s actually became a pretty good returner.

But but now I feel like Rivera is so behind in this era of football. We went with McCaffrey after NE and James White did what the did in the SB vs Atl. Now, it’s like we’ee trying to copy Philly now.

Thats exactly what their doing
