Joe Person might be the nicest guy in the entire world for all I know, but that man has an IQ below room temperature.

Yeah, I think the answer he was looking for from Joe was "The Charlotte Observer", not "Pennsylvania", but Tepper rolled with it.

Sounds like he is looking to buy another team doesn't it?

What I didn't follow or understand what his comment relating local to development to minority partners.  He said that more local development would make local partners less likely. Maybe I misunderstood that comment. Also a little confusing to seemingly lump in MLS with local development and charities? I didn't follow that correctly I think

Yeah that statement didn't quite follow the subject/question but I think he meant that in the context of bringing in MLS for example as an owner and how existing partners may not be on board with that.  It would complicate things having to get approval/buy-in from any partners he would have.  It's much easier to go it alone than have to get others involved on the business side regardless of what you are investing in.

True, but why does a minority owner of the Panthers need to be involved in ownership of another team. I suppose it could be something along he lines of Kroenke Sports & Entertainment.

So...is it collusion IF the Panthers win a Super Bowl in the next 4 years?  Seems like if the NFL is truly rigged, the best way to welcome The Tepp would be to give him a Super Bowl victory!  Add that with the talent on our roster, it's just crazy enough to work without raising too many eye brows.  This is probably why the Browns haven't won a championship after Haslam bought them, who was ALSO a Steelers minority owner.  Hmm...  Either way, I don't care.  I just want to see Cam win a Super Bowl with the Panthers before he retires.

Panthers vs Steelers in the SB?

That's how I took it too. Like when he wants to make a decision, he doesn't want to have to consult with minority owners. And also perhaps, the minority owners could get rejected by a future MLS team or something along those lines. Either way, it seems he has an eye for development in the area. Expansion. Which is cool.

They will be involved if the other team uses the same stadium.  There will be some shared costs involved and some owns may not want to be involved.  It complicates things.

Major impression I get from watching him here: Comes off as a super nice guy, but there's an edge underneath that engaging exterior that's sharp enough to split a hair.

Gonna be real interesting to watch him as an owner, but I'm glad I don't work for him.  He'd make me nervous as a cat.

Really?  I got the impression that he is kind of an ass. Which is a requirement for hedge fund managers I think.

Doesn't mean he won't do a good job, but I do agree I don't think I could work for him.

Regarding a new stadium,  it seems that he is considering it, but he is going to wait a while before any decision is made.  Which is a pragmatic approach I guess.

Meaning that he can sound cordial and personable in a setting like this. Cracking hair jokes with Rapoport and Person is a good example.

But yeah, if I had to work for him, I'd be on valium or some such.
