I've never cared about these rankings. They don't help us win any games.

It's true that these rankings shouldn't mean anything to you or I, but they do mean something to the players.  Getting recognized by your peers as one of the best in the sport has got to be a nice feeling.  Especially when your consistently high on the list and the highest rated MLB.  Do they help win games though? Nah, of course not, but considering the time of year it is......I'll take a video of other NFL players talking about how good one of our Panthers is.

You can quote me here, Kamara won’t repeat his play from last year. You can bet us and the other teams will take his tape apart and shut him down. Plus with no Ingram, teams can key to him even more.

I'm trying to think, and I could be wrong on this, but I think that Luke is our most consistent "best" player we have ever had on the Panthers.

Smith was really good consistently, same with Kalil....Pep is a monster but was a little more up and down.  Greg is great, but isn't normally considered the best at his position in the NFL....Jenkins was up and down, Gross was really consistent, but never really the best at his position.

Cam has been really good, and great, but not as consistent.

I'm sure I'm missing some really good guys.

    • I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.
    • Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
