If things keep going the way they are, in 20 years the only place you'll be able to relocate to SE NC  will be a boat.  My rain gauge measured over 20 inches of rain in the last month and hurricane season hasn't even gotten wound up.

Just got back from Sneads Ferry a couple weeks ago. Was out there visiting my brother. His house is right across the water from Camp Lejeune. Was pretty crazy watching them blow poo up on a daily basis and flying military aircraft overhead. Now I know where most of my tax money goes.

It doesn't suck.

Paying wind and hail insurance isn't awesome, and there is the threat of Hurricanes, but I wouldn't change a thing.

Actually we planned too. But my brother is a very good cook and his neighbors are crabbers and shrimpers. So he prepared soft shell crab and shrimp a couple of nights. We did pick up a couple of homemade pies from Riverview. The lemon and coconut cream pies were excellent. Will definitely try to make it over there next time for crab legs. You live close to Sneads Ferry?

It's wing night at the golf course.  Walk 9 holes, then pound wings and beers while watching Panthers football.  It truly does not get any better.

no, I'm in Myrtle, but that was my family's go to place when we visited eastern NC where I was born.  Place has been there like 50 years or something.
