Kelvin Benjamin Is Already Hurt

I have no been successful in finding it, but I know I read a thread on the Huddle not long after the trade which stated our trainers had concerns about the long term health of Benjamin's knee. The post called it a 'ticking time bomb.' This latest report may indicate there was some validity to those concerns.

I remember that thread as well.

My concerns started in year 2 when he showed up overweight and the coaches called him out on it.  His response?  To pout, and turn his jersey around from front to back while stood on the sideline.  WTF?  At least one coach had to come over and talk with him.

Right then I knew we either had a headcase or someone with maturity problems.  Maturity issues are fairly common in the NFL, and you hope they grow out of that.

Whichever was the case with Kelvin, it seems to me his problems have only gotten worse.  I wished him the best until last week when Cam came up with "no hard feelings bro" and tried to shake his hand, and Kelvin wouldn't shake his hand, like Cam purposely tried to derail his career.

Kelvin is the problem.  Kelvin has issues he hasn't grown out of yet.  I hope his body can last long enough for his brain to realize this.  Because of his emotional state, after football, I don't see a future for this man.

In Kelvin's defense, he's a young man going through a lot.

Rookie expectations after moving on from Smith, suddenly getting a ton of money, being thrust into fame, losing his mother, injury concerns, being traded.

A lot of ups and downs and I can't even begin to imagine what it'd be like to be in his shoes.

His maturity is definitely a concern. I actually kind of wish he ended up somewhere like KC. Reid just has a way of connecting with players.

Yeah but other than his mom dying he's going the same stuff as every other young player in the league and they somehow generally manage not to eat themselves off the field or piss off their coaches and teammates. He got traded because he is an immature moron, and his injury probably has something to do with that as well.

    • I mean the whole defense was trash, he was at least trying. Besides if you put a all-pro among 10 PSers, that all-world will look human. It's very hard to judge very bad units and find the best players among them. Horn and Mjack played well too, there was 0 pass rush and -1777784 run defense.
    • I was looking back and seen Evan Neal has made the switch to OG after awful years at OT.......I wanted him over Icky for his tricep alone..... I was 100% stroud too, I was super pissed about his record setting and playoff leading start......I had arich vastly over the midget BY too. But right now, BY is about the only one on the up&up. The Texans used lots of prime draft capital to help Stroud.  It's still not ready. But if you're honestly about past drafts, these GMs are not alone in making mistakes.  I still feel they should stayed put and allowed Carter to fall in their lap, but best I know Tepper had the worst rage about landing a QB for the past 5 years. The deal is with the correct coaching staff, Baker or darnold would still be here....Baker has signed 3 years for 100 million, which is a great NFL QB contract. Tepper hiring rhule and his shitty Baylor/temple staff was a massive setback given rhule was in control too. Then panic set in an d fitteerererererer had to make a winner and find a QB. Ugh.....I hope they are back...
    • Also maybe the biggest part is his fromer college buddy, Lord Lamar told the GM to sign him. It was done nearly right after and guess who was the first person Alexander met at ravens stadium??
