My Personal Thoughts - Olsen Lost A Step

Olsen has lost a step. 33 years old coming off broken foot, I'm watching him and he's just not moving the same. He's nowhere near moving as well as Ian Thomas. Which leads me to my next point (I swear I was already on my 3rd point when Ian scored)

Our passing offense should go through our receivers first along with CMC. I would limit Olsen snaps on passing plays, just being honest. Play-action, Ian Thomas should be in with Olsen. Double TE. Which leads me to my next point

Do we have too many receivers for Norv? They should be used and used a lot this year. Samuel and Moore, why aren't they out there with Cam? From point 1-3, we’re once again in a vet vs. betterment of team scenario.

Kalil still struggles from time to time. Sacks given up especially on 3rd down HURTS us

CMC looks MUCCCHH better than last year. Our run blocking looks much better

Funchess needs to improve his blocking

Armah  - vets vs betterment of team. I shouldn’t need to explain my statement there

Jackson looks promising. Still a rookie, but looks promising

Bradberry - find another CB next year if he doesn't show big improvement

Let's hope when Peppers come back he look the same cause outside of Addison, who's getting to the QB from a DE position? Put Obada in with the 1st string?

As of right now Gilbert is our 2nd QB. Heinicke can throw it, once he gets going

I don’t want Byrd cut. Moore - many say that turnover was his fault, I just give the defender more credit, he timed it perfectly

Corn highlight interception

Gano miss, I feel we played for the FG there on the 3rd down. Play for the FG and well…

Barner is a pre-season warrior for us. He should consider being a RB coach when his time in the NFL is up, just a thought

Compared to last week, we looked better defensively and slightly worse offensively. I think the Bills first drive and KB acting like a bitch with his little TD celebration woke our team up. The last time we played the Pats at home preseason game our 1st half was embarrassing because Ron didn't take it serious enough, but Belichick did. We proceeded to have a bad 2016 year.

He's 33, I'm sure he has lost a step. Fortunately, he was a 4.5 flat guy in his prime. He has a step or two to lose and still be effective.

Jason Witten never seemed that fast, i tried looking up his 40 yard dash at combine. couldn’t find a credible source. As we all know Witten was a beast. I agree, with you. He will find a way to get open or come down with the ball. With age comes more experience. i just hope we can have a replacement for Olsen when he decides to hang em up

Tony G in Atlanta was running probably a 5 second 40 near the end and he still killed people.  Olsen is the last thing I'm worried about.

    • When we have everyone playing like they should, we can win the Cup. That has been the biggest problem when we get to the playoffs, but this year seems to be fixed mostly. We could have had multiple if we had done this in the past.
    • Here we go Bryce Stan’s you should love this. Hell it may be one of you.  It has every cliche excuse and then some.  Unintentionally hilarious my limit was reached when he said Bryce had it hard because four play callers.
    • Luke goes in to the specifics of what he looked to accomplish in joint practices.  Basically they may work with someone on the opposing team to stress something they feel is a weakness in their own game in a different way that can be done with someone they are familiar with. That they can have predetermined stresses but since neither wants to get injured and it has absolutely no bearing on anything there is not the level of concern that would be in a preseason game.  He would also even chat with opposing OC.   It seems like an interesting nuance among the vets and savy pros.
