I know that Thomas is my favorite Panther of all time.  I know that he has miraculously come back from 3 ACL tears.  I know that he loves this game, and the Panthers.  I know that he is a great man.

I also know that these guys have a hard time giving it up, and many more of them take performance enhancing drugs than any of us realize.

I also trust that Roger didn't administer the test, didn't test the sample, and didn't come up with the diagnosis.  His office merely handed down the punishment.

Fair enough. My contention will always be that TD did not intend to take a banned substance. If you're a Panthers fan that thinks otherwise, you need to rethink things.

You can have that opinion, and I'll have mine.  TD wants to play, his body is betraying (if you can even call it that at his age) him, and he likely took a gamble to get ready.

Now, I'm not a high and mighty kind of guy...I don't think 1 iota less of TD for taking a PED, knowingly or otherwise.

Manning 1 takes some stuff?  I betcha.  Brady and Brees...would be shocked if they didn't...just part of the game...don't think any less of them either way.

TD got reckless in his fight against time and now has to face the consequences. He wasn’t caught in some coverup like Peyton Manning so I’ve got no reason to look at him differently, but Man of the Year messed up and has to be held accountable either way.

My apologies then. It did seem like you were saying he intended to cheat and there needed to be consequences for that.

People actually think players accidentally take banned substances?  Especially aging players?  I guess TD just accidentally added some estrogen blockers to his corn flakes.

It's not impossible to take a banned substance and not know it. One of the medications I take on a regular basis changed the binder and I didn't know it. I had a pretty severe reaction to the binder and had to sit down with the pharmacist and go through all the ingredients to figure out what had changed. I'm not saying that's what happened in this instance, I'm just saying ingredients get changed in many different things and we're not always aware.

      It's crazy with how much winning was going on when we had a little cool off period that we're still just a couple games out of 6th. Moussa is getting better every week and Coby is getting comfortable. Would be nice to get to 6 but I think this team is a lot more stacked than the last couple play ins. I can't remember the exact rules but if you're 7th seed and win the first game I think you automatically move on and don't have to play the second game?

      I think it was a thing for sure. Panthers weren’t too many people’s first choice. Or 5th choice.  2022 and 2023… coaches fired mid season. Consecutive years. You want any of that?  He has definitely overseen a rehab of how the Panthers are perceived. Because we are a place that is seen as up and coming. And just the little thing of he accommodated Theilen so graciously, that gets noticed. It all adds up. Dan is doing a lot of things right, probably most things.  Needs a good draft.

      K, I think that is dumb, but you do you. I didn't find anything online that made him out to be a dislikable person. I am certain the Panthers would have cared so much if they lost your fandom if they hired Sean Payton. But bet you would have come crawling back if Sean lead us to a Super Bowl victory or Golden leads UNC to a champion ship. It is easy to say you are gonna leave a team if the hire someone you dislike when the chips are down. But people like you tend to come crawling back once the team finds success.
